Not impressive and not entertaining. You've a long walk through the entire temple and in the end near the lake there are seating arrangements. Definitely not worth the time, energy and the money spent.

The show was cancelled which of course, is outside of the tour operators control, however we were only notified 30 minutes in advance of when we were meant to be picked up. When we looked to see when the show was cancelled, we found it was posted on the Friday, our tour was meant to be the Sunday, and so the tour operator had plenty of time to inform us of the cancellation. Furthermore, the tour operator refused to refund themselves and made us go through Tripadvisor customer support instead to chase up the refund. Avoid booking with this tour operator.

Our family visited with two kids. It is a boring and unimpressive experience.

Most of time, you are just standing (initially) / sitting (later) and listening to recordings. I literally fell asleep. It is nice to see lighted temple but it is just not worth the money and time.

Better to rest and sleep for these evening hours. Save your energy for next day.

A waste of time and money. A pretentious script spoken in deep male and female voices representing gods and goddesses. Some projections of images on columns; some backlighting of the temple. And one has to walk the entire length of the temple to the "sacred lake" to see the complete show. Do something else at night.

This is really interesting, the first part is a walk through tour with a voice over of history. To see the places we'd seen in the daylight was really special at night, with a limited audience so the whole experience felt more intimate. When we got to the seated area we had a great view over the lake and it was amazing to see different sections and light projection images as the history was told. At just over an hour long one a lovely warm evening this was a great way to spend our last night in egypt

Not sure I'd rush back to the Karnak sound and light show. The temple complex is amazing but if you've been round it during the day there is no need to return in the evening. It is a walking sound and light show that finishes in the seated area and although it tries to bring it to life the language is rather arcane and a bit strange. I can't compare it to the shows at Aswan or Giza as we didn't see those, but Karnak is much better visited during the day - give this a pass and save yourself some money.

If we could rate this lower we would. Don't waste your money or time! (And if you do decide to waste your money and time, but your ticket at the door, not online, as it's slightly cheaper this way.) The show is simply odd and poorly done. We felt like multiple lights had broken and never been repaired, because sometimes nothing would happen in sync with certain sounds or words leaving the audience very confused. Speakers in some places were poor as well. The English version was hard to follow even as a native English speaker and it didn't feel very in line with an Egyptian theme. Just found it to be weird and boring honestly - and we could tell this feeling was shared by many in the audience. Don't bother! Head to Luxor temple to see it lit up at night instead, which would be a much better use of your evening. The Karnak light show is a tourist trap and nothing more.

The company was the best. The light is sometimes really good.
They let in too many visitors. It was sometimes impossible to catch up. And often you ended up wrong because they only had a thin rope to guide you where to go. Many obscured the view of others by filming everything with their mobile phones.

The absolute worst was that it was not possible to reach the organizers. They did not respond to emails, texts or on the website. Extremely nonchalant!

The tour just consists of the company driving you to the location and back. The actual tour is mostly a audio guided walking and sitting tour and not led by anyone. In fact we just had a driver which made sense to be fair. We had rescheduled the day but was not told that the next day it would be in French. We did have audio headphones to listen to it in English but the poor quality of the devices meant it was not an ideal experience. Also the light show is very dated and so would say this is a completely optional part of anyones visit to luxor. No point paying the extra money which was significant, to buy it as a tour. Just buy the tickets yourself.

You walk through the temple at night as it lights up tells you a history. Then sit down and have a great view as story finishes.
