We leave from Cartagena to the island in a speed boat that takes just 45 minutes to arrive to the island. our first stop is at Tierra Bomba Island to do a panoramic tour around the Bocachica fortifications that protect Cartagena from pirates, then in Rosario islands we do a panoramic tour around the whole archipelago; seeing the different islands and their beautiful waters and corals.
The second island we will visit is Isla Grande where our private beach is located, people who wanna do the snorkeling can decide if they want to take it or just stay at the beach, in the island we will taste the Caribbean seasoning with a snack, next stop is in the party island Cholon where you can enjoy this amazing place where people go to party on boats we recommend not to buy prepared things to prevent your stomach and save the experience, Last stop is Mambo Beach Club Baru located in a public beach Playa Tranquila where we take lunch and returns.

THE BEST! Milton and Jose were amazing. From pick up to drop off, the vibes were through the roof. Every stop was smooth and with their help we made it with as little haggling and hustling as possible. Food provided was amazing and staff at the clubs were attentive and kind. Cannot recommend this enough. Seriously. Do yourself the favor and book this experience with Milton and Jose!

Milton is a very good guide, I congratulate you. I recommend it, I only wish it would only go to the last 2 islands, I liked them much more, but the treatment was incredible.

This excursion was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. For starters the tour guide was very rude, he did not “guide” anything. He barely talked to us throughout the tour. Next, the tour was scheduled to start at 8am and it did not start until around 10am… our tour guide stated there was an issue with the captain and he could not be reached. Please keep in mind we had a small bite prior to arriving at 7:45am to the dock because we were promised fruit/salad and water. We are now sitting in the hot sun waiting for this tour to start and no one is telling us anything. When we finally get on the boat, all of our stops were cut to about 30-45 mins due to them being late. We were told we would eat around 2pm, we did not eat until around 4:30. Added to that, the captain and tour guide made sure they had themselves something to eat in front of us. When we did get to where the food was, we were harrassed by the tour guides beggar friends as we were eating. The tour guide just sat and watched them invade our personal space multiple times when he could have told them leave us alone. We weren’t in the beach we were under the assigned pavilion for our group so we shouldn’t have to deal with locals begging us and touching us while we eat. In addition to being late to start and having our stops cut in half, there were people on our boat that didn’t belong (the tour guide didn’t verify everyone supposed to be on the boat) so we had to make a 30 minute detour to drop them off, then continue with our trip. When we got to the stop with the snorkeling, one of the guests almost drowned due to the defective life vests that did not even clip shut. There was a one water bottle per person rule (for 9 hours) which could have worked out if it was actually monitored. Some guests took more than 1 which I can’t blame them, it was 9 hours in 90+ degree weather, but then some guest were left with no water. Lastly, the boat ride was terrible. I’ve been on rough boat rides before and am so understanding that you can’t control the ocean by any means, but driving the fastest the boat can go to the point we were soaked as if we jumped in the pool, eyes red because of the salt water, a young lady behind me had an anxiety attack during the rides because again, the life vests were defective so if the boat were to tip over which is what could have happened, we would be SOL.
Again, I’ve used viator multiple times in many countries and have never had such a bad experience. I am a very understanding person, things happen that we can’t control. But having a boat full of people go through what we went through should never happen. The tour guide knew about all of our concerns throughout the entire trip, but still asked us for a tip after we ALL had the worst experience which was like the cherry on top. This review can’t even explain all we went through that day, but I hope you choose a different tour if you are deciding which one.

Absolutely the worst tour I have ever been on. The tour started almost 2 hours late. The boat stalled out in the middle of the ocean leaving us floating and calling for help. We were able to get one engine working and slowly made it to land. However, we were stranded there for over two hours waiting for another boat to pick us up. The boat ride back to the mainland was the scariest thing ever. We started taking on water and everyone thought it was going to sink. I will never book with Backpackers tours again!

It was interesting learning a little history about the Spainards.... The beaches were amazing. Snorkeling was fun, got to see several kinds of fish. The food was nice, although I wouldve rather had the welcome drink with my food, since they gave us the drink on one island and the food on another...Cholon was super dope, the vibes were definitely there and the party was jumpin'! The ride back felt like hydraulics but the captain knew what he was doing, the waves were starting to pick up a little. Overall a fun time, thank you!
