WHAT TO EXPECT

We will see the main castle of Byzantine, on the west side and entry of city from Europe by Golden Gate. We will explere walls of Byzantine by seawalls and defense walls. Built in 390.
2. Walls of Constantinople (Istanbul City Walls)
We will discover the walls of Byzantine as seawalls and landwalls. Built in 390.
3. Valens Aqueduct (Bozdogan Kemeri)
We will explore one of the biggest aqueducts in the world built by Rome and Byzantine. Built in 350.
4. Tekfur Sarayi
Byzantine Palace of Blachernae, known as Tekfur palace by Ottoman, built in 490 by Byzantine Empire and used as main palace for several years till the conquer. Located on the Golden horn and used as a museum today.
5. Vlaherna Meryem Ana Church
One of the oldest and holy churches in Istanbul, built in 457 and hosted the holy mantle and robe of the Virgin Mary. It has a importance with its Sacred Bath and Holy Water.
6. Chora Museum
We will see also Chora Church built in 557, used as a mosque called Kariye. We will visit by outside.
7. St. George
We will explore Orthodox Patriarch Cathedral in Istanbul built in 1600. It is used as Patriarch after Hagia Sophia changed to a mosque.
8. Bulgarian Orthodox Church
Bulgarian St. Stephen Church will be our next stop with its lovely architecture. Built by Ottomans in 1870.
9. Fener & Balat
We will discover the Jewish and Christian Ghetto of Istanbul, with authentic houses, churches, cafes and more.
