This was a great way to see Madrid. Our tour guide, Mariluz, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and had tons of great history, answering all of our questions as well. The tour starts with a 2 hour driving tour, stopping along the way to take photos. There is a separate driver so the tour guide is able to focus on the tour itself. Then, there is a 2 hour walking tour that starts in the city center. We did this tour on our first day in Madrid, and I thought that I would use it to book any sites / museums that we wanted to go inside and see. Generally this was a good plan, but one note is that the Royal Palace gets booked up way in advance. We were able to see the exterior on the tour but if you’re interested in going inside I’d recommend booking well in advance.
