Walking tour to see Barcelona through the eyes of Picasso and other Catalan and Spanish artists who lived and worked here. Your Private Guide will meet you at La Rambla street, a popular hangout for local artists.

You will see the ornate Güell Palace, one of the earliest examples of Antoni Gaudi’s modernist architecture.
4. Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic)
Explore the winding streets of the Gothic Quarter to find the places that inspired Picasso’s sketches and paintings. Picasso’s family moved to Barcelona in 1895 after the death of his little sister, and he began his artistic journey there.

You will see Carrer d'Avinyo, where he visited prostitute women who later became the inspiration for his masterpiece ‘The Young Ladies of Avignon’

Carrer dels Escudellers, where he had a studio in 1899. Named for the terrissaires (earthenware potters) who worked here making escudellas (bowls or stew pots), this colorful loop is an interesting subtrip off La Rambla.

The tour will continue along the seafront Passeig de Colom, where you will see the former residence of Picasso’s first wife, the Russian ballerina Olga Khokhlova. You will pass Roy Lichtenstein’s abstract sculpture El Cap de Barcelona, the Royal Academy of Arts where Picasso attended, and the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar.
