The tour was excellent. We were accompanied throughout by an experienced, knowledgeable and interesting guide (Brian). Brian looked after all details throughout the tour, keeping everyone informed and on time. The accommodations were excellent. As for the actual tour, it was great. The pace was about right and there was always something interesting to experience. Brian added great commentary and gave great suggestions about where to eat/shop.
Thank you Brian and Railtours Ireland for showing us the beauty of Ireland.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our tour choice and especially the tour guides. John Todd and Andrew Roach (the Cork Roach) were super friendly, answered all our questions and guided us through an amazingly beautiful country. We were always in good hands even when they passed us off to the Deros Coach Tours in Killarney. Another excellent tour company with wonderful guides. I would (and already have) highly recommend Railtours Ireland for an outstanding experience all the way!

This trip far exceeded our expectations. Railtours covered every possible base to make our experience one of the best. The hotel in Killarney was top-notch and the tour guides from Deros Tours were great. But, John and Andrew provided us with so much information in such a friendly way that we will always remember them for taking outstanding care of us during our 4 day adventure. These two gentlemen treated us like friends and answered every question. The trains and buses were always clean and they had someone lock up our luggage in Galway for the 2 hours we had when transferring from the tour bus to our train back to Dublin.
We would recommend Railtours Ireland First Class to anyone. A great way to experience the beauty of this amazing country ☘️🇮🇪☘️

I would definitely recommend this tour. We had a family of 13 and they were very accommodating. The tour guide is witty and very knowledgeable of the history of Ireland. Paddy was very helpful and kind of last day. Of course the sights are amazing. The hotel accommodations were very nice. The international hotel in Killarney was great.

We really enjoyed our trip with Rail Tour. It was a package that included all the sites we wanted to visit. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. The pace was good and we feel that we learned a lot! Two guides stood out for their expertise - Batty for his warm and fun loving personality. He even san Irish ballads while driving the bus! His enthusiasm was wonderful. And then we must mention John Todd who went out of his way to make sure that each person on the tour was satisfied. He even took us around Galway and pointed out things we would never have seen. When we returned to the station, John asked each person if they knew how to get to their hotels. An amazing man! We will always remember this!

Overall this was a great tour. The guides (especially John Todd and Batt Sullivan, plus Michael from Lally tours) were really good. Their knowledge was top notch and delivered with humour and professionalism. The driving of the coaches was impressive too.
Covered a lot of ground which sometimes was a bit tiring and a little rushed but was expected and didn’t really have a negative impact on the experience. Hotels were more than adequate and were very comfortable and accommodating.
Would recommend this tour to anyone who has limited time but wants a memorable Irish experience and too see some of the more iconic and beautiful places in the southern part of the country. Good value for the money.

Had a great time on our 4 day rail/bus tour. Brian was our guide through the week. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun. We were very lucky and had great weather all week. Everything in Ireland is beautiful. We got the chance to watch a sheep herding demonstration. It was very cool and amazing to see how it is done. On our ride back to Dublin Terrence was our guide. He was very nice and helped us arrive back safely. This is a wonderful company and I would recommend using them if you come to Ireland.

Excellent tour with Jonathan he’s an excellent tour guide gives you excellent information about everything that you see and then some
You won’t be disappointed with this tour and I would advise it for anyone visiting in Ireland that wants to see a good portion of the country
Everything is well organised timed appropriately and was very happy with everything that we did
The guides we had including Thomas and Jonathan were great
Hotel accommodations were just as described in very nice food was good as well in the restaurants and centrally located

My wife and I spent 4 days in western Ireland, what a great time. The tour guides were great, informative, good humor and the sites they showed us made this a remarkable & unforgettable trip. Kilarney was a wonderful town to walk around it and be part of, we even went to see a Galic dance as an added pleasure on the trip. We will do it again in a few years.

I booked this 4 day tour and once I read reviews, I called Railtours directly to ask to have an intown hotel, because some of the B& B's are a little out of town and require walking to get anywhere in town.
Apparently if you book thru Viator, you get the B&B's. If you book directly through Railtours, they put you in the nicer hotel which is in the center of town. in addition, I was advised by someone that booked directly that you also get breakfast on board the train included. This is available to all passengers, but you have to pay on board. The B&B we stayed at was very good and Maura was great. She keeps a very clean and well stocked operation. The downside is the walk to town. It wasn't horrible, but once you walk back to the B&B, you think twice about doing it again the same night. If walking isn't a concern, then you're fine. The tours were very good. Knowledgeable guides, and very well organized. People from different tours with different itineraries may travel together, but these guides are on top of it all. They give clear directions and make sure everyone is accounted for. If you only have a limited amount of time,and want to see as much as possible, this is a great way to do it. We didn't have to worry about planning anything, and it was nice to already have your tickets to attractions, and not have to wait in the lines. I was happy with all we got to do in the 4 days we had available.
