We had wonderful experience with Alpaca Expedition with amazing guide Walter. He knows everthing about Incas history and explains easily. especially he is wonderful skill of taking pictures you will get fantastic photos

Incredible trip. Our guide Jhymy was informative and extremely helpful. The trek was hard for us as we're beginner hikers but he did everything possible to make us comfortable. The mid-hike lunch prepared by Urbano was delicious. The highlight was, of course, the sites we hiked through and learned about with Jhymy. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

This trip wad amazing! We toured many archeological cites, including Machu Picchu. Our guide David Condori Villanueva was amazing! We had a small group and he made sure that were all enjoying our experience. David pointed out many historical places and gave little tid-bits of information that would have seemed insignificant through another tour. Overall, it wad a great experience and I would recommend David to those visiting Cusco!

I can’t say enough great things about Alpaca Expeditions. We did both the sacred valley day tour and the 2D1N Inca Trail w/ camping - our guides (Simon, Santiago and Ivan) were all fantastic. Ivan even accompanied us on our Huayna Picchu hike as well. The food is fabulous and the tour was so well organized. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with David as our guide. He was very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. He pointed out things during the tour that we would have missed had we were on our own. We really enjoyed the tour! We learned so much about the history of the Inca people and it was really great. Would highly recommend doing this tour with David as your guide!!

We selected Alpaca for a 2d, 1n trip to Machu Picchu with our 4 daughters (17, 15, 12, 12). Alpaca was great from start to finish. We picked them cold from the US, with little to guide us. The pre-trip support was excellent and transparent. Anticipated costs were clear and itemized. On arrival to Cusco, their office was easy to find and brief to finish up pre-trip details.
Our guide, Saúl, was great. Incredibly knowledgeable and attentive to our family. He was particularly good with native plants, and was obviously interested in them, as well. He knew the trail front and back, and proved to be attentive while not being overbearing. We were very appreciative of them.
Halfway through our hike from KM 104 to MP, we met up with porters (among, but independent from, other Alpaca groups through-hiking the entire trail). The lunch that was prepared for us can be described as nothing short of magnificent, robust, out of this world. And this is with one vegetarian among us. It really was remarkable.
Machu Picchu was, of course, fantastic. It had been 20 years since we'd been there, and despite marked changes to regulations, it was still outstanding and defied all expectations. Huayna Picchu was similarly so.
Our stay in Aguas Calientes was fine. The Alpaca aspect of it was seamless. The hotel that we had selected was Jaya Machu Picchu. It was acceptable, but if given the choice I'd probably choose otherwise. Damp, a few little things off. But kind people. No regrets there.
To Alpaca's credit, we noted on the way back from Aguas Calientes that our train was an "Expedition" rather than a "Vistadome". the difference in what we had paid for was $450. When we alerted them to this, they were highly responsive to refunding the difference. I would have preferred that there was not error made, but it ultimately was demonstrative of their responsiveness.
Summary: High quality, easy, responsive. Would absolutely go with them again.

We did the one day tour of the sacred valley. It was an absolutely life changing experience that I’ll never forget. This region of Peru is so beautiful. Our guide was Pamela and she was the best guide we could have asked for. She was personable, patient with us, and eager to share all her knowledge with us. Her English was nearly perfect and she truly made the experience an amazing one for us. Mario was our driver and he was amazing as well. He always showed up right on time and we felt very safe with him driving despite the bumpy roads. The experience was a once in a lifetime experience.

Juan Miranda was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to the needs of everyone in our group. He has real enthusiasm for these special places and it shows!
