The cabin was beautiful and the michi was very knowledgeable of the aurora borealis. It was nice to have an option to stay indoors and outdoors too!

We got lucky and saw the lights throughout the night and Michi was even kind enough to stop on the way home when he sees more sightings of the lights.

Patience is key. After all the cloudy coverage, we weren’t sure if we’d get to see them. It was absolutely beautiful and worth doing this tour. Michi, our guide, took amazing pictures of us. In between viewings he told us all about Aurora and his dogsledding days. He was a safe driver and made sure to pull over for aurora viewing on the way home.

Michi is absolutely a delight! He is professional and highly knowledgeable about the Northern Lights. His lodge is wonderful and cozy. Although, we didn’t catch the lights at his lodge. We caught them on the drive back. Michi pulled over and we seen the night sky filled with the Aurora. This is a highly recommended experience.

Tour company was great! The weather was not the best for viewing the lights and the tour company was very communicative with us. Upon booking excursion they were helpful in letting us know exactly pick up points and times. Day of event, they texted me weather updates to let us know what to expect. I would definitely book with Aurora Husky Lodge next time.

I was surprised to find that most of the in-depth information about the aurora was not conveyed directly by our guide. Instead, we were shown a series of YouTube videos. While informative, this approach lacked the personal touch and expertise I expected from a guided tour. The beauty of being on a tour, in my opinion, is the opportunity to engage directly with an expert and have a dynamic learning experience, something that was unfortunately missing.
Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the tour was disappointingly quiet. A vibrant and engaging guide plays a crucial role in setting the tone for such an experience. The guide’s inability to energize and cheer up the group led to a somewhat muted experience.

Tour guide was extremely kind and accommodating to everyone. The cabin and van were warm and asked if it was to our liking. He and his wife turned their lodge into a mini Aurora Borealis and Dog mush museum from his previous races. If I visit Alaska again, i would 100% go on this tour another time. Thank you Michi and family!

We really appreciated being able to stay warm in the cabin while waiting for the lights. Micha, the tour guide, was very kind and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed learning about his past career as a dog musher!
