What a memorable day we had! When I mentioned to someone before our tour that we had made arrangements with Altitude Tours, their response was, “Oh, they are a very well run, first class operation” and I couldn’t agree more!
Our driver/guide Andy was the best!! He really made the trip special for us.
He had lots of great information to share and knew just when, and how much, to share during the early morning portion of the tour when most people weren’t yet fully awake.

This was an exceptional tour. A small group of 16 people in a comfortable Mercedes Van. The guide Nev was great, and the scenery was absolutely amazing. We managed to travel on a beautiful day which meant great views and comfort of environment when hoping out at stops.

Absolutely amazing! Anyone doing Milford Sound day trip should 100% fly back! Your guides are legends and makes the day so enjoyable instead of just sitting on a huge bus curving around the windy road, your able to stop, walk around, get some fresh air and know what you’re in for as the day goes along. Small bus enables small group and also small boat trip into Milford Sound.

Absolutely the highlight of our trip - the coach down was so pleasant with only 8 of us - and the guide was super knowledgeable and stopped at all the hot spots! Flight back to QT - EPIC- do not miss this part - it puts the whole experience into perspective- and gets ya back for happy hour!!!

My daughter, granddaughter, and I had booked a fly, cruise, fly trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound, but the weather did not cooperate. So, we had a van, cruise, van trip instead. Initially, we were dreading the long day, but it turned out to be better than expected. Our driver, James was a wonderful driver and provided us with great information along the nearly 5 hour drive there. The cruise was also wonderful on a smaller boat with commentary provided by the boat captain. The sights were awesome. The drive back was long, but since it was mostly dark, we could catch up on some sleep. I would highly recommend this company. Even the sandwich lunch was great.

It was an early start but the small group tour was perfect. Plenty of stops along the way for toilet breaks and coffee opportunities. Our driver, Do, was so acccommodating we wanted for nothing. It had been raining so I saw Milford Sound bursting with waterfalls. Again, a smaller group boat took us closer to the waterfalls whilst enjoying a delicious bagged lunch. The flight back to Queenstown was cancelled due to the weather so we returned to the Sprinter Van and Do returned us home. She was such a great driver. Highly recommend this small group tour.

Absolutely fantastic tour. Prompt communication for pick up. Tour guide was awesome and let us know that the scenic ride back would be weather dependent. Unfortunately, we were not able to fly back but at least had the backup option of taking the bus back which wasn’t that bad. Great stops along the way to see other sights and stretch our legs. Highly recommend, and it is with the money to be in a small group. This is a fantastic, well organized tour company.

Excellent all day tour. Our guide, Michelle was awesome. She grew up in the area and has lived here many years. The ride through the National park allowed for several photo stops, cafe/restroom breaks and interesting commentary by Michelle. The second part was an amazing cruise through Milford Sound by boat. Lunch was provided and they easily accommodated my gluten free needs. I had a delicious chicken salad wrap, chips, fruit, cookies and chocolate. The scenery was gorgeous. Next we were flown back to Queenstown in a small plane over beautiful snow capped mountains and lakes. 35 minutes back. I highly recommend flying back. We were back at our hotel by 4:30. Time to relax before dinner.

BEST DAY EVER. Kevin was just the most amazing tour guide. He even arranged snow and sunshine. Nothing was too much trouble. Great knowledge of area. Kept to schedule but took us to individualised amazing places. Plenty of time playing in the snow. Can't recommend this tour group and Kevin highly enough.
