In this ocean Mermaid Swimming Lesson, you will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform into a mermaid and explore the beautiful, underwater world of Maui's most scenic coastline! A professional mermaid instructor will give you a private, one-on-one swimming lesson in a mermaid tail of your choice, as well as teach you tips & tricks to help you improve your mermaid technique. All lessons take place in the calm, shallow, and protected waters of Makena Bay in South Maui. This cove offers extraordinary coastal views of Haleakala, Molokini, Pu'u O'lai, and the neighboring islands!

What a fantastic experience! I gifted this to my daughter for her 7th birthday and she had a blast! I was hesitant to book it as she is still a very new swimmer and doesn't swim in the ocean often, but she was taken care of every step of the way and had so much fun. I didn't want her to do the swimming by herself as I knew she would be nervous being in the ocean, so I decided to join her for the experience and I am sure glad I did. We had such a nice time spending time together as mother - daughter and Aqua was amazing. She clearly loves what she does and made it such an enjoyable experience. She even gifted my daughter with the sweetest pearl and shell necklace that she refuses to take off now. :) Don't hesitate to book this; you won't regret it!

We booked this for my best friends birthday. If you truly want a real mermaid experience just book it. Aqua and Sky are such amazing teachers and make you feel so confident. I will look back on these photos for the rest of my life. It’s a magical, life changing experience and I am so grateful.

My two girls, 9 and 6, had an amazing time at their mermaid swim lesson with Aqua. It was the standout activity of our Maui trip. It’s truly a talent to teach so well. Add teaching kids to swim in a monofin in the ocean and take amazing pictures and video and we appreciate our teacher Aqua even more! Everything was smooth and well thought out; from our online booking, Aqua’s monitoring ocean conditions, meeting at the beach and her ocean setup. My daughters said that the monofins were so easy to swim in! Taking photos was very fun!🧜♀️

If you are considering booking this, you 100% should. My daughter said it was the best day of her life. Mermaid Aqua made the experience so special for my daughter and put my worried mama mind at ease with her attention to safety. Long ago my daughter told me she felt more comfortable in the water than on land and now we know why…she is a mermaid and Aqua helped her to find that out. Hands down the best thing we did on our trip.

Mermaid Aqua: thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Our transformation to mermaids was an experience which moved us in ways we couldn’t have possibly imagined. This expression of a childhood dream-come-true was made possible because of Mermaid Aqua’s exceptional skill in crafting a day of fun, joy, beauty, energy, and compassion. She put impeccable detail into the fitting of our tails, took lots of photos and video, and created a lovely post-swim photo package. But the true gifts of this session surfaced once we were in the water: Aqua knew just how to build our confidence step-by-step, and before we knew it, we two merfolk who are circling 60 years old were swimming confidently in our tails in 15’ of ocean water, making exhilarating dive over exhilarating dive. We knew our safety was ensured due to her considerable training in safety and rescue. Aqua took her time and really got to know us: she’s the real deal! This effervescent soul is so passionate about mermaiding; what a delight it’s been to get to know someone so fabulous and with such generosity of spirit, a truly sparkling soul we hope many others will have the blessing to meet. Night before Aqua reached to us with detailed questions to assure that next day will go smooth and without wasted time.
She met us punctually and we were lucky with great weather and excellent underwater visibility.
First we did photo shoot on the beach and than moved into and under water.
It is a great plus if you/child are already familiar with monofin as you will than fully enjoy the experience (consider buying one and training few days before).
Within couple days after the experience photos were ready and family was "laughing".
Long story short during our next visit in few months we already plan to repeat this and possibly take it step further.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Mermaid Aqua! She made it a memorable experience for our whole family. My daughter and I loved being transformed into mermaids and learning the techniques. She made us feel glamorous and beautiful. I can't say enough good things. Definitely the highlight of our trip and what my kids will talk about most when we get back. Even my son (5) was fascinated just meeting her!

Mermaid Aqua made my daughter’s dream come true! To become a mermaid! This was easily the highlight of her trip and possibly mine! The joy she exuded after this experience is unmatched with anything else we did in Maui. This was an experience she will hold dear to her for the rest of her life! As a parent I felt safe with my daughter in the water with Aqua as her guide! Hands down this a must do while in Maui!
