1. Koutoubia Mosque
Built in the 12th century, it is one of the oldest and most impressive mosques in the country. Its grandeur and beauty have made it a popular tourist destination, and it is a symbol of the city’s rich history and culture.
2. Bab Agnaou
Bab Agnaou is a monumental gate forming part of the ramparts of Marrakech in the Kasbah district, in Medina. This heritage bears witness to the grandiose past of the Almohade Berber dynasty, which came to power in the 12th century and had its seat in Marrakech. Its Islamic Caliphate extended from Cordoba in Andalusia to Tripoli in Libya. Bab Agnaou is one of the 19 gates that allows you to enter inside the ramparts of the city of Marrakech. This gate (“bab” in Arabic) served as an entrance to the administrative and military complex of the Caliphal Kasbah, citadel of power, from the south of the city. Flanked by two cannons, it is one of the most impressive gates of Marrakech.
3. Kasbah Mosque
Kasbah Mosque is a historical mosque located near the Saadian Tombs in the Kasbah. It is also known as Moulay El Yazid Mosque as it is located on Place Moulay Yazid. It was constructed in 1190 and you can find Almohad elements in it. Non-Muslims cannot enter it. The mosque has a modernistic minaret. The original mosque was destroyed in a gunpowder explosion in 1569. The whole building was reconstructed in 1960 and has pretty impressive architecture. You can see shops built into the walls and horseshoe arches around this mosque.
4. Mellah
The Mellah quarter is a small group of streets located a stone’s throw from the medina, next to the monumental Bahia Palace. Today it’s inhabited by hundereds Jews, but between the 16th and 20th centuries it was home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the country, made up mainly of Jews who had been expelled from the Iberian Peninsula and other European territories.

Stunning example of Moroccan architecture and design. Built in the late 19th century, it is a sprawling complex of gardens, courtyards, and rooms that are filled with intricate details and vibrant colors.
6. Souk Semmarine
The souks are the heart of the Marrakech medina and have been the centre for trade in the city a thousand years. Today they're as much a tourist attraction as anything but still have that exotic, chaotic feel. Over 3000 stalls sell everything from tagines and glassware to scarves and spices. The souks of Marrakech are often a highlight for any traveller. Indeed, the bustling atmosphere, the bargains, the thrill of haggling and the assault on the senses is often a big part of the reason why people take a guided city tour.
7. Jemaa el-Fnaa
one of the best known places in the world, jamaa elfenna in marrakech is a vast open square at the heart of the medina this is one of the biggest attractions in the city and is a Unesco world heritage site. Mohamed was a lovely tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable regarding not only Moroccan and Marrakech history but also regarding local sites and experiences. We were able to see some much of Marrakech that we wouldn’t have been able to without him.

Absolutely fantastic experience! I recently had the pleasure of exploring the Ourika Valley and its three majestic mountains with Mohamed, and it was truly a highlight of my trip.

Mohamed was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional throughout the trip. His passion for the region and its history has made him an outstanding guide.

My mom, fiance and myself booked this tour with our tour guide Muhammed and it was amazing. Muhammed’s hospitality and knowledge of Merrakech was great. We went to a lot of the monuments that Merrakech is famous for and also through the local streets. The weather was perfect and around 60-70 degrees for January. Muhammed took us to places in the city we would have never found and also his English was amazing. Muhammed was easy to talk to and understand. Muhammed also made sure we had waters and made sure we had bathroom breaks when needed. Having a tour guide was so helpful and it was fun to learn about the city of Merrakech from a local. 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone wanting to travel to Merrakech!

Mohammed was an amazing guide. I was traveling w my daughter 31 and her fiancé 37 and we got to see all the sites plus learned a lot about Marrakech. The shopping was more like a learning tour seeing artists actually doing their craft. We got to learn about oil, carving , plastering and got great tips for lunch and dinner all of which were great. Mohammed is a kind soul and a great pick for our tour guide.

I spent a week in Morocco with my wife. For the most part I found tour guides to be heavy handed and predictable UNTIL I MET THIS WONDERFUL GUIDE.

Our time together was informative, fun and malleable to fleeting desires. The highest praise I can give this guide is that it felt like hanging with a friend.

He helped me find a scorpion, he helped my wife find a boutique based off an Instagram photo. I truly felt seen. On top of that--we know every tour guide will take me to rug shops--but this one actually heard our feedback and helped us save a ton of money on purchases.

This will be the best money you spend on your journey but it won't feel like you spent a thing. The time will fly, your horizons will expand and your heart will open upon spending a day with this wonderful guide.

You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not hire this man!

I had a group of friends in town so decided to book a tour for us with Tailored Morocco Tours. We had the best time, and even though I've lived here for a few years now I still learned so many new things about the city.
