We’ve brought together a team of internationally renowned artists, designers & historians — both from Broadway & the experiential world — to design the museum. It will be educational, but told in a fun, accessible, brightly colored way! We are going to share information about the history of the Broadway theaters through projection mapped videos, the timeline of Broadway told through immersive environments that will leave people’s Instagram feeds full of great photos and give guests a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a Broadway show by spotlighting all the jobs and what it takes to create a Broadway show. There are other surprises and sections of the museum that will excite fans young and old!

It's an amazing treasury of Broadway history, information, and artifacts. We spent two hours exploring its well-organized three floors.

It was wonderful to a history of Broadway. I love learning how it began, seeing the costumes and how the shows get put together.

An absolute MUST SEE for anyone who loves musical theatre! The specific broadway show exhibits are wonderfully crafted! Staff is friendly and personable.
Conveniently located in the heart of Times Square. Not to be missed!

We love the theatre and came to this museum hoping to learn more about the NYC theatre district and some of our favourite shows.
There are five floors, each with a different theme. There was history, costumes, trivia, props and a great section explaining about some of the backstage roles. I loved picking out the photos and Playbills from shows I’ve seen and shows I wish I had seen!
A must for the theatre buff.

The Museum Of Broadway did not disappoint. The visuals are fantastic, the chronological story is masterfully told.

This review however is more about a specific customer experience that needs to be told. Someone in our party required the use the elevator and to no fault of the museum, the elevators were down for repair when we arrived. Long story short, Whitney Hudson, Site Supervisor, stepped in immediately and showed my group of 4 what true customer service excellence is. Knowing time was limited for us, she invited us back the next day and had us ask for her. Everything went smoothly and above enjoying the museum immensely, we were incredibly impressed with Whitney's incredible customer service acumen.

This museum was not yet open when we visited NYC in 2021 but we heard about it via a documentary on Broadway during COVID and decided to add it to our itinerary on our 2023 trip to NYC. I was a bit apprehensive about the admission cost but we love the theater and thought we'd go ahead. Great investment: this museum was so good! It traces the history of Broadway, highlights some major shows that have played here and takes you through a comprehensive view of Broadway. It's not a complete history of every major show or actor to ever hit the stage (that would take twice the space they have here!) but it does showcase a sizable number of plays. We spent four hours there and could have used another hour to go through the basement section that shows the behind-the-scenes work of putting a play together, but we had to leave in order to get to another commitment on time. We would visit this museum again if/when we travel to NYC. Very impressive work!

A perfect way to spend an hour or two, especially on a rainy day in the theatre district/Times Square, NYC! Lots of costumes, picktures playbills, interactive areas all laid out in an easy to follow timeline. Start on the third floor and work your way down to the different levels/eras. A bit too much to read and I would have like to have see a few more screens showing bits of the actual plays, but it was an interesting and enternaining museum. A bit pricy for less than two hours, but still something fun to do while waiting for the evenings play.

If you love Broadway, then you need to visit this museum. Lots of information about the history of 'the great white way' and the shows, stars, producers, etc. I highly recommend to any fan of live theatre.

Okay, I’m a Broadway baby, and so I was expecting to enjoy this museum… but I really loved it because it allowed me to interact with sets, props, and costumes from so many of my favorite shows. One can gain an education into theater by watching all the videos and studying all the exhibits. One might take hours doing so. But it was the immersive experiences that really made my day at the museum.

The poor rating is not the museum, which is FABULOUS, but rather Viator's processing of your tickets. I bought tickets 15 minutes prior to needing them which they said were available in Viator. When I arrived, the tickets were not available on their system or on my cell phone. I ended up losing 10 minutes of museum time (precious because it was closing in 1.5 hours) and paying for the tickets at the door. I am still waiting for my refund to be processed from Viator. Also, it is less expensive at the door. As far as the museum itself-- MUST see!! It was so awesome and everyone there was so nice. Because of our delay and my sister's birthday (whole reason we were there) they gave her a little momento for the problem. The displays are awesome -- so neat to hear about the history of broadway and all of the behind the scenes stuff. The costumes for different shows I have seen was also very nice!! Definitely go!
