We will visit Serra de Sintra or Mons Lunae as the Romans used to say. At Monte da Lua, mysticism persists to this day. We'll start with a guided tour of an authentic fairytale palace, Palace of Pena. Then, we will explore the narrow streets of vila de Sintra and give you free time to have lunch and try the typical sweets of the region (travesseiro) in the famous pastry shop "Piriquita". After lunch, we'll head to Quinta da Regaleira where we'll take a guided tour of the Initiatic Well and learn about the history behind its exotic gardens, enigmatic caves and Masonic architecture. We will cross the mountain, passing through the villages around it, to reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe.

Our Hostess Renata was awesome. She had a wealth of knowledge about all of the areas we visited. The History, Sights and scenary were fantastic. We sometimes find it hard to believe all of this was built so long ago and is still preserved for all to see, Such a wonderful treat to have been able to visit and enjoy. Thank Renata, Wayne & sherry

This was a great day trip thanks to Renata. She was vibrant, super informative, and navigated our group efficiently to make the most of our day. We were picked up promptly, and she was super welcoming and informative on our drive to Sintra, pointing out landmarks and sharing all kinds of great info. The early start meant we were among the first to enter Pena Palace which was wonderful, as it was very crowded when we were leaving. Regaleira was busy when we got there, but Renata helped us navigate in a way that avoided a lot of the crowds except the well where lines are unavoidable, but it went quickly, and she helped us make good use of our time in the well. I loved that Renata was considerate to act as a photographer at many photographic spots, smoothly taking shots for each group with one of our cameras and moving each group through nicely. She also took some of her own pics of each group and shared them at the end. Lunch in Sintra was very nice, and the drive home along the coast offered more unique views. Thoroughly enjoyable day! Renata is a true pro and a delight to spend a day with.

This was truly a magical day in Sintra! Our guide, Renata, accompanied us into Pena Park, Pena Palace, and Quinta da Regaleira and told us about plants in the park, history of the owners of the palaces, and architectural features. She knew all the best photo spots and was happy to take pictures of everyone in our group and got some great shots of all of us in the Initiation Well. Renata had great recommendations for snacks at the Piriquita pastry shop and for a local tapas restaurant (Tasca Saloia) for lunch. She also pointed out other sites, such as the Moorish Castle and the National Palace. After lunch we headed over to Cabo da Roca for spectacular views on the coast. There are so many tour options in Sintra, but this is the tour you should book. It was a much more meaningful experience to have guided visits and Renata’s knowledge and expertise really enhanced our day.

Renata was a great tour guide…very knowledgeable! She had her timings planned perfectly, especially at the Palace of Pena which was the first stop and which we were in the first group to enter. Each stop was enjoyable and different. Her recommendations for a snack and lunch were both excellent! Would recommend this tour!

We took an 8 hour tour of Sintra with Renata. She was very knowledgeable, fun, professional and friendly. We were picked up on time. She made sure to give us very precise directions wherever we went and great recommendations for lunch and dinner. Thanks to Ranata for s wonderful tour!
