This excursion is recommended to get out of the routine of the day and have a perfect combination of culture and local contact traveling to the past among sugar cane fields and bateyes for a super exciting day.

Overall good excursion. Tour guide was suppose to speak Spanish. Knew alittle so unable to understand full history. Overall good excursion. Saw alot. Dominican food was good.

Amazing excursions with an amazing local guide, Téo.
He gave us some precious informations about the local life !
Unfortunately, due to weather, we were not able to go to the local beach as planned. During lunch, Téo informed us that the government closed the beach due to high waves.
However it as still an amazing experience !

Lucas was great. We visited the market, did a bit of shopping and visited numerous places. The one that captured this whole experience for us was Alto de Chavrõn where architecture meets and marries with the nature. It was absolutely a little jem

My wife and I did the Cultural Day - Higuey experience tour with Theo San Juan. We visited Altos de Chavon, Basilica La Altagracia, the local market in Higuey, had lunch at a local restaurant and had a chance to visit a cigar factory. For those who didn't know, Dominican Republic cigars are better or as good as Cuban cigars.
Theo, not only a safe driver but also a very knowledgeable guide. He also helped us in our photoshoot experience which we appreciate very much.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us, and very much recommended.

Teo was great. We were expecting a small group tour, but when he showed up (exactly on time at our hotel), we found that it was just the three of us. This allowed us to customize the tour, which he was happy to do for us. This is a great way to get off the resort and see the authentic DR.

Teo was a great guide and driver / the trip is well planned and has a bit of everything: culture, food, shopping, and sightseeing! We definitely recommend it if you want to understand more about life on the island (not just enjoying the beaches)

Our guide was excellent. I would recommend Teo he was wonderful. We learned alot with him. We went to the market. Teo was a very good driver.

This was a great little trip to a few out of the way places. Teo made it a great experience by being patient and matching my energy! Would recommend this trip to learn about the countryside and the real Dominican Republic.

Decided to do this tour because I only had Altos de Chavon left to see since visiting DR. I had Theo as my guide and he was great. But since it was just me I was merged with another group. Beautiful views and great history. The only negative thing I have to say is about the guy with the donkey. He forcefully put the leash on that was on the donkey in my hand and forced me to take pictures. I understand tips are appreciated, but forcefully without asking if they would like to take a picture is not the way to go. I am not sure if he did that was because people in the group were not interested in taking pictures, but I just had to been standing there and he did that. After he took multiple pictures he stood there saying “tip tip tip”. I had no other choice to give him a tip. Other than that great tour .
