Our guide (I believe his name was Stefano?) was great and very informative. I would recommend this if you want to learn more about Michelangelo and his David.

We were first time visitors to Florence and didn’t realize how early you need to book tickets to things. Tickets to the Accademia were basically sold out across the board. I took what I considered to be a gamble on this and it paid off. So huge win that this wasn’t a scam.
Tour guide was good. They hand out little ear buds. My wife’s worked but mine barely functioned. I realized it a little late and I wasn’t really there to listen to a tour guide anyway. Had I asked for another set they definitely would have given them to me so that’s on me really.
So bottom line is that this actually wasn’t a scam. We got to see the David so this is great.

Poor service, poor communication, and I don’t recommend. Four days before our scheduled and confirmed reservation we were notified they had changed our reservation time by four hours. This greatly impacted the schedule we had book with other venues and the plan we had in place for our one day in Florence. They ignored our communication by all means- email, text, and phone. Viator customer service couldn’t even get a response from them. The morning of the reservation our driver was informed that there were no tickets for us which led to many hours of frustration, phone calls and lack or response from them. We ended up adjusting our day again to arrive an hour early to be sure we had tickets and was met with a rude representative who told us to arrive 5 min before our tour time. We eventually got in but our whole day was consumed with this “2-hour” tour. Once inside we were rushed through because the tour guide said she has a tour every hour and doesn’t have time to give us details or answer our questions. She skipped about half of the academia.

Martina was an excellent guide! She was so knowledgeable but gave us just enough information and interesting facts. She is a charming young lady and does an awesome job as a guide!

The Viator organizer met us in the street and was so friendly and laid-back. He introduced us to our guide and both were very understanding as my husband was late and still checking us into our apartment. We were thirsty, hot, and needed a bathroom and they understand. The guide was attentive to the kids kneeling down and answered our questions with detail but not too much detail. Thankful for this experience!

The assistant met us at the designated spot right on time and we began the tour exactly when we were supposed to. It was so nice to skip the entire line which was quite long. Our guide was excellent and provided some very interesting information about many exhibits in the museum, including David of course. The original David is breathtaking! My entire family agreed that it was worth seeing the original in the museum, rather than the copy that is easily seen outdoors nearby. There truly is something very special about this statue and the way it’s displayed. Go see it!

Martina was great! She was knowledgeable, humorous, and educational. Helped us to understand the history of the art pieces and musical instruments. Michelangelo’s David did not disappoint, for sure!
