local Istanbul hosts! Whether you have just one or two hours to spare or a
full day on your hands, you'll experience the city in all its glory with an
itinerary planned around your schedule and interests. You could weave your
way through a neighborhood or two (we recommend checking out one on
either side of the Bosphorus Strait), visit iconic landmarks or discover lesser-
known spots like the overlooked streets below Galata Tower.
Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about
your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a
like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest
an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also
agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the
experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

It is sometimes a good idea to get local guides to teach you how to get around. We traveled a lot over the years and only twice used guided services. It’s a judgement call. A female guide was blast for the wife - worth it.

Cerit was great! Unfortunately we weren’t able to visit the mosques because they were closed for prayer, but Cerit ensured we got right to the port tp board our ship.

We had booked Atilla for a day. The first day he was delayed, so when he turned up, he asked what he could do to make amends😅 We said it was fine, but suggested we might do the trip over two days-he agreed, and we had a fascinating and delightful wander around all the prime sights and some less known. I thoroughly recommend him

Hands down this was the best tour we’ve ever done! And hands down this tour made our trip special. We filled in a questionnaire before our tour and specified we wanted to go off the tourist trail and immerse ourselves in local life. And what we got was beyond our expectations. Atilla was our guide and he was just amazing. We all clicked from the moment we met and it was like seeing the city with an old friend. He planned the day around what we had said we wanted to do and took us to Kadikoy in the Asian side. We just loved that part of the city. It is so vibrant and full of character. We stopped to have some local food at a little place we never would have found on our own and it was great! We walked through narrow streets, busy streets, quiet streets discovering so much and mostly things we would have totally missed on our own. Atilla was amazing to our 6 year old and she really enjoyed his company too. He took us to a little playground so she could have a little play and that was so sweet. We also got a list of restaurants which was great considering that there is so much choice! Doing this tour on our first day was the best decision ever as we got to understand this city in a way we would have missed had we started on our own doing the main attractions first. We totally recommend you try this tour, which apparently can be shaped to whatever you want from it!
