Where I come from is an exceptional cultural exchange, in which you will experience and learn about Cartagena’s identities and pluriculturalism that resonate in the city’s neighbourhoods.
Where I come from provides a glimpse into the rich cultural life of Cartagena’s popular neighbourhoods, as well as into the different social factors that historically excluded them. The aim of this project is to show you from different parts of the city how life in Cartagena has been one of community spirit, struggle and a search for identity.
Our experience begins by meeting at the clock tower in the historic center, from there we will travel by public transportation bus to the authentic and popular neighborhood of El Pozón, where the main development of our cultural exchange will take place. During the ride, we will narrate and teach the most important events of the history, its development and the places that stand out along the way.

All of the guides were extremely friendly and informative. I felt welcomed in their community and the whole experience was very educational. I would recommend this tour to help support their message and to also learn about their culture and hardships in their community.

This experience was amazing! The price was cost effective to get around to see parts of the city we wouldn’t have access to alone. We traveled with the transcaribe and were received at a host home in the community to meet the people and the true essence of Cartagena! I felt a genuine connection with the tour guides who love to celebrate their town and it’s people!

Thanks for everything! Spending the day with all of you in the Pozón neighborhood and my 45th birthday was great. Everyone must do this experience with @whereicomefromctg Bryan, Leo and Thomas, they are excellent hosts and will make you feel like one of their family.
I am from Vietnam and getting to know this part of the city was the best part of my stay in Cartagena.

If you are looking for an unique cultural experience , this tour is for you! From the friendly host and team to the very interesting history of the city and neighborhoods. I really enjoyed the connection made as I learned about the previous struggles of the neighborhoods and how they have successfully transformed artistically and culturally today. This is my first time in Colombia and I was not ready for how much I'd fall in love with its people, tastes, smells, and sounds! This beautiful artistic cultural exchange and experience really left an impression on me that I won't soon forget. Our guide was exceptional, passionate and informative. The locals were warm and welcoming at every turn! I loved meeting knew people and learning the history of the city! This is perfect for solo travel as well as for a group. The city is colorful and filled with depth. This is the kind of experience I recommend to anyone visiting Colombia! I will be doing again when I return with friends!
