Columbia Icefield Tour with Glacier Skywalk

Our family had such an amazing time and we learned so much! Our driver was Sam and he was so friendly, funny, and passionate about his job! You could really tell how much he cared about the glacier, its future, and teaching people about its importance to our future.

Really crazy experience! Sam was our ever so funny and cute guide. We got tons of history and information about the glacier and just knowing you're on one is pretty fantastic.

Although the boarding queues are slightly confusing at the meeting point for the tour the actual tour was very good. Our driver Liam drove us down to the glacier and was very informative about the geography of the glacier and the Ice Explorer. I would recommend doing this tour in combination with the Skywalk.

We both really enjoyed the icefields tour and skywalk in spite of a little wind and a few sprinkles . But truly the best part were the drivers of both the buses and ice cat . Very Knowledgeable and extremely friendly . That would be Liam from Blackpool , Jaz from Guelph and Kim from somewhere . Thanks to all that made this memorable.

we made the best decision to see glacier skywalk ! Totally worth the price. It was stunning view and we took beautiful pics.
Sam was very knowledgable, helpful & funny.

We had Sam with the “glacial blue eyes” as our guide/explorer driver. Fantastic tour, once in a lifetime experience in nature. Took notes on the facts, taught us in an entertaining way. Great sense of humor. Hope your mom reads this. 10/10 looks and tour ❤️

The Icefields Adventure is SO worth it. The shuttles and the Icefield explorer drivers are great. Jackson, our driver who was from Blackpool, not only had excellent driving skills, but he was engaging as well as knowledgeable. Spending time out in the Athabasca Glacier was quite the experience. Waterproof shoes, sunglasses, warm coat, and a water bottle to fill with glacier water are necessary to make the most of the 30 minutes in the glacier. The Skywalk and a not to be missed because it’s so unusual and offers incredible views. However, some visitors are less than polite in their efforts to get the perfect picture, thus making others wait or step over the people lying on the glass floor. Although the lunch buffet upstairs in the Discovery Center is pricey, the food is very good. Get a table next to a window and it is dining with a magnificent view of the glacier.

The tour is great!!!! Highly recommend it. The area is beautiful. Definitely want to use the bathroom at the Discovery Center before going. Also, once your actually on the glacier it is surprisingly cold. The Skywalk is fun, and it's nice you can set the amount of time you want to spend there yourself instead of waiting around for the entire group.

Loved the experience. We arrived early. They do not line up to board more than 15 minutes before your tour. Guides on buses were great and gave great facts about the Ice Explorer and the glacier. You definitely need to dress warmly. It is freezing temps on the glacier. We did see mountain sheep and goats while on the excursion. We also took an empty water bottle and got a taste of glacier run off water. A great experience.

Great Experience especially after a long drive from Banff. The tour is crisp, we caught the perfect weather. Hope we could stay longer on glacier. Tour guides were informative and friendly.
