This DMZ expert tour will take you to the Korean DMZ that is located about an hour away from Seoul. You will see the Third Tunnel, the DMZ Exhibition Hall, the Dora Observatory, the Dorasan Station (closed temporally by military) and pass by the Unification Village on the way back to Seoul. It will be an educational experience to learn about the Korean War and its history.

If you choose suspension option, you will visit Gloster Hill Memorial garden which was battle field during the War and Gamaksan Chulleong (Suspension) Bridge which is one of longest suspension bridge in Korea and the nearest Mountain to the DMZ.

1. DMZ
The DMZ is a unique area where you can observe one country being divided into two. With this tour, you will visit the 3rd Tunnel, DMZ Exhibition hall, Dora observatory and Unification village. Experience the tension but hope for peace in Korea and learn about their history and future.
2. Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park
You can see the Freedom Bridge, Monument of Soldiers, Bell of Peace and an old steam locomotive that shows the extremity of the tragedy that was the Korean War.
3. The Third Tunnel
North Korean Army built to infiltrate South Korea in 1970s. You will walk down to the tunnel (about 500m) wearing a safety helmet. After tunnel, you will have some time to look around the DMZ Exhibition Hall which shows the Korean War, old weapons and you can watch a short film about Korea's history and other information of Korea.
4. Dora Observatory
The highlight spot in DMZ is Dora Observatory where you can see North Korea’s propaganda village through onsite telescopes.
5. British Military Seolmari Battle Memorial Park
(Optional) Hill 235, where the 1st Battalion, the Gloucestershire Regiment (the Glorious Glosters) was ordered to "Hold on where you are", is remembered as "Gloster Hill". -Memorial The memorial stands at the foot of Gloucester Hill beside the Seolmacheon stream. There is a memorial garden on the east side of the stream containing a large sculpture of the Gloucester's beret, a set of life sized Gloucester soldiers patrolling away from the Imjin River and a memorial wall. The stream is crossed by Gloucester Bridge and a path leads round to a flight of steps that takes you to the memorial stones set into a wall built into the side of the hill. Four plaques on the original memorial still show the crest of the United Nations, the badges of the Gloucestershire Regiment and of the Royal Artillery This is a popular park for local Koreans. According to Lee In-jae, the mayor of Paju who raised money among local citizens to expand the park, "Freedom is not free – it is earned with blood".
6. Gamaksan Chulleong Bridge
(Optional) Gamaksan Suspenstion Bridge 1.7 kilometers away from the Gloucester Hill Memorial is a rope bridge known as The Gloucester Heroes Bridge. The insignia of the regiment is also on a marble effect wall towards the beginning/end of the bridge, depending on which side the walk is started. It is one of longest suspension bridge of Korea with 180 meter length. It was fierce battle field during Korean War. After short hiking (15min), you will reach to the great view point at the mountain Gamaksan which is in the list Gamaksan is in the list of BEST 100 Mountains in Korea, rises 675 meters above sea level and is oft described as the ‘closest mountain to the DMZ’ but it is probably the most popular one to hike near the DMZ. Gamaksan is close to the ceasefire line so, once you climb up to the peak, you will be able to see the Imjingang River and Songaksan Mountain in Gaesong.

• Not recommended for travelers with acrophobia (fear of height) for the suspension bridge . Instead, they may wait at the view point.

I joined half-day tour, which covered the observatory, the third infiltration tunnel and the unification bridge. We’re lucky to see the North from the observatory but it’s not always so according to guides. To reach the tunnel, we had to walk down (and up in return) 350m steep accessing tunnel.
Our guide made the tour meaningful and I enjoyed the visit thoroughly. Thanks.

It was a good tour, got to see across the dmz a little bit, it was hazy at the observatory but thats supposed to be normal, try and go in a clear weather day. Also ger to go in a tunnel thats close to the border line. Tour guide was great

We've done some guided tours before, and from the first moment when we was picked up at a perfect place at the exact time, to the drop off in Seoul after the tour, our guide Ms Junie excelled in the balanced skills of being informative, serious, funny and personal at the same time! She adapted to the group lightning fast, spoke English very well and made herself understood.
Important to know is that DMZ is not fully predictable. Weather conditions for example plays a big role for sites such as the observatory. We were a bit unlucky weather-wise but thanks to Ms Junie's explanations it felt like we could see straight through the mist. Also, every part of the organisation as a whole impressed. There was a very special feeling to be in the 3rd Tunnel, to see, take in and understand the big picture.
We felt very well taken care of. Money-wise, it was worth every penny.

The tour with Mr Young was really interesting. We saw a lot of different spots and he had interesting facts at hand. There was also enough time for everything.

The tour was really interesting! Our tourgide Mr Young took us with a bus from Seoul to the DMZ area and tunnel. His explanation was good while also giving us enough time to look around and see the area by ourselves.
