Chef Mimmo Siciliano provides a most entertaining and instructive course in how to make various types of pasta with different sauces. After a visit to the local market to buy ingredients one is driven to his delightful family owned restaurant by the seafront. As well as a hands on learning experience in making pasta we enjoyed offerings of salami, cheese and olives before a large and delicious lunch accompanied throughout with generous quantities of wine. This was altogether a very worthwhile experience which is highly recommended.

We had an amazing time with Chef Mimmo. Incredible food, atmosphere, and beautiful views of Sicily as the restaurant is positioned right across from the sea. Chef Mimmo and his mum were fantastic teachers. We can’t wait to try the recipes at home! Was definitely a trip highlight for us

We went to a local market to pick out fresh ingredients. Cooked and ate an amazing amount of fresh, tasty food while having a fun time. I’m not a very experienced cook but I learned a lot in a stress free and friendly environment. We made 6 types of pasta starting with flour and water! The water was just across the street so we had a great unobstructed view. Beautiful.

My wife really enjoyed the cooking class. It was an amazing experience with Mimmo
One of the items he had promised were the recipes for the various dishes they created.
We had hoped to receive them while we were in Sicily so we could re-create our own dinner while in Syracuse.
Would it be possible to have Mimmo send them to either my wife or myself?

We've just had a great few hours on this trip. Pick up was prompt and after a walk to the local market to get our ingredients we were taken in comfortable vehicles to the restaurant. This was as promised is right on the seafront. We were shown how to and made our own pasta in different shapes and how to prepare a caponta and Sicilian pesto. During our time there we were served water and wine, tasted some cheese and cold meats and eventually had our lunch of the food we had helped to prepare and lots of it too. Then driven back to the pick up. All the staff were lovely especially the chef, in this family run place. It was all great.
