Something for everyone in our family. We saw some amazing fish while snorkeling. The total experience from pickup to return was fun!

This island is beautiful, but the goal from start to finish is to pay for extra activities. The staff do not advertise what is included but rather push what is not included. Upon booking I was told that banana boat rides were included. This was NOT the case as it is part of an area with a water trampoline, zip line into the water, waterslide, and banana boat rides. These were listed as “optional” but not additional money which prompted me to call for clarification. This is when I was misinformed. Snorkeling is included but they push to sell the mouth pieces which you get to keep. We arrived on the island, and were given one small breakfast taco. We wanted to do the animal encounter which was scheduled at 1:30. Coincidentally, lunch was being served at 1:30 as well. we were told , we would leave the island via boat at 2:15. This only gave us 45 minutes to eat the only food served all day and accomplish the animal encounter activity. My daughter is 13 years old and was too tall to do the kids adventure park. The primary tour guide could see my displeasure and had the nerve to ask me if we ate enough. I told him “barely, because we did not want to miss the activity we waited all day for”… he could care less.

Great, fun day for adults and kids, only lesson learnt is that the Kids Adventure is geared towards very littles. My 8 yr old and 11 yr old were definitely too big for it. Wished we would have known and skipped that and had more time in adventure cove.

Absolutely a wonderful day with our family. It exceeded our expectations! Very well organized right from the marina to Las Caletas. Something for everyone. Worth the extra $20 each for the Teen Adventure park! Even for the adults. Zip lining, water slide, banana boat ride and all the beautiful birds, pigs & monkeys. Paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkelling was great! My husband & I had a 30 minute massage which was amazing! Lunch was delicious. We didn’t want to leave! Would definitely recommend for everyone! 😊🌴

I went on this trip today with my daughter (7 years old) and we had a great time!
We left from Nuevo Vallarta and went straight across the bay to the beach. On the way back, we made a stop in Puerto Vallarta to drop off passengers and then continued to Nuevo Vallarta.
Check in was quick and easy. We arrived 30min before our scheduled departure. We had the option to sign up for additional paid activities while on the beach (ex scuba diving, swim with sea lion) but we opted not to. We had to pay the toll to go out of the marina but it was just $6 Canadian. You could pay by cash or card.
The boat ride was chilly - I’d recommend bringing a sweater. Remember to bring towels - they doubled as a blanket to keep our legs warm on the boat ride! We were lucky to see both whales and dolphins on our ride!
When we arrived at the beach we had a breakfast waiting for us. It was a buffet and was delicious! When the later tour arrived at 12:30, they had a lunch waiting for them there. We ate lunch as well but just before our return. It was also a buffet with many choices.
On the beach there were many activities to choose from and I could see this being an excursion that would be enjoyed by families (even large families with a range of ages like grandparents down to kids), couples, friends etc.
There are several beach areas you can just lounge at or swim, or do a variety of water activities for no extra charge (tubes, paddle boards, snorkelling). We did the kids adventure activities (donkey ride and ziplining). The kid activities are advertised for ages 4-11 but I would say more like 4-8. While my 7 year old enjoyed it, I would choose to spend my day differently should we go again when she’s older.
One special touch we enjoyed were the animals and the people working with the animals. There are so many macaws living there and the employees took the time to answer my daughter’s questions about them. They were friendly and kind! We also got to have photos with the macaws, a hawk and even a little monkey
I would not recommend this excursion for someone who has mobility issues as there is lots of walking required to get around with lots of ups and downs and bumpy paths.
For all others though, I would recommend this tour! Lots of activities to choose from - we easily could have spent a few more hours there!

Very disappointing tour. The tour departed late. The actual time on the beach was only about 2.5 hours. We were unable to do any snorkelling or have any beach time. The clay modelling was unsupervised. And there was nothing to do. The kids adventure is not suitable for over age 8. The tour also had many animals in captivity in cramped conditions. My children were very sad to see them in such a state.
We paid over US$600 and did not get any real experience.
Be careful what you pay for too: although we had paid for the drinks package, no one from the tour actually served us. The buffet also does not have many vegetarian options. Be aware : It does not match the pictures.
The boat is also a really party boat - and very crowed. You also have to pay for a taxi to the port and a port fee. If you go prepared to empty your wallet.

Las caletas is definitely a great place to explore. The day is set up to enjoy the area. It was a bit rushed, though and the day is not set up in case you want to do more than one part of the activities offered. In the end we could do the kid adventure and play at the beach, but didn’t get to enjoy much of the rest of the island or the animal encounter. Time allotted is too short for the possibilities.

The views and landscape are stunning from this side of the Bay! Tons of nature and wildlife to encounter and enjoy. We came here as a couple and loved the option of adult only beaches in the area.
Make sure to bring tennis shoes as it’s not a flat path from area to area.
We came here with Vallarta adventures and the staff is so fun and high energy, they made us feel so welcomed. Food was provided at breakfast and lunch (our tour left the island at 2:30pm) wish was DELICIOUS though I do wish they had let us know how long it was going to take to get there. We checked in at Nuevo Vallarta at 7:15 as we were told the boat left at 8, it didn’t leave until 8:30 and we had to stop at Puerto Vallarta to pick up more passengers so we didn’t get to the area until after 10.
Extra activities can be booked ahead of time or on the boat, though what we wanted was sold out ahead of time so we should have planned better. We opted for the massages which were heavenly, and a steal at only $25USD. Things like paddle boards and snorkels were a little hard to come by, it would’ve been nice if there were a few more available (in hindsight I recommend buying one or bringing your own). The price is a little expensive for what it is, but it was really fun!

Our family of 9 with grandparents, parents, and grandchildren teens and elementary ages had a wonderful afternoon!! We took the water taxi from Paradise Village to Vallarta Adventures and climbed aboard their boat at 11 am. It takes over an hour to get to Las Caletas where we were served a healthy and delicious buffet lunch. The teens enjoyed the afternoon at the older kids cove area with zip line, banana boat, rope climbing, etc. The younger kids and parents had a great afternoon at the Kids Adventure Park as well as returning to find the grandparents at Relaxing Beach and joining them for paddle boards, snorkeling, and playing in the sand. We returned to Paradise Village delighted with the day. Grandma was 8 months out from knee-replacement and found the many steps and hills a bit challenging but doable.
