1. Pisa
A comfortable one-hour drive will take you to Pisa. As soon as you arrive, you will pass by the historic suburbs and encounter Piazza dei Cavalieri, the original political center of medieval Pisa. It was later transformed by Cosimo I de’ Medici into the center for the Order of the Knights of Santo Stefano, created to defend the Mediterranean coasts from Turkish and pirate fleets. At the heart of the square you will find the statue of the Grand Duke of Tuscany, made in 1596. Behind it stand Palazzo della Carovana and Palazzo degli Anziani del Popolo, which was transformed by Giorgio Vasari. Piazza dei Cavalieri is the location of the Scuola Normale Superiore, commissioned by Napoleon based on the model of the Parisian Ercole. The greatest Italian professors, such as Pacinotti, Carducci, Pascoli, Fermi and Rubbia, have all studied and taught here. You will then arrive at the breathtaking Leaning Tower of Pisa, the unmistakable tilting tower that has people marvel from all over the world!
2. Leaning Tower of Pisa
Pisa and its Piazza dei Miracoli have always been a fundamental part of a trip to Tuscany, and despite the presence of the many tourists, the place radiates a timeless, evocative and powerful beauty. Visitors from every corner of the world typically try to keep the leaning tower upright, with a little help from their camera’s perspective, to make for amusing photos!
3. San Gimignano
The beautiful stronghold of San Gimignano is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Tuscany. San Gimignano is a treasure of medieval architecture, frozen in time in the year 1300. Above all, it is famous for its ancient towers, which still stand out from its skyline, earning it the nickname Manhattan of the Middle Ages. Don't forget to stop by the famous Dondoli ice cream shop, winner of many awards for the best ice cream in the world.
4. Piazza della Cisterna
Piazza della Cisterna dates back to 1287. It is located exactly in the center of the city, at a crossroads between the two main streets of the upper medieval village. While the city’s Piazza del Duomo served both as a religious and political center, Piazza della Cisterna was instead used as a local market and as a stage for social gatherings, parties and tournaments.
5. Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta - Duomo di San Gimignano
The Duomo of San Gimignano is also known as La Collegiata. Visiting this beautiful cathedral is a must! Because it has never been restored, you will be able to marvel at the original colors used in the unique frescoes, which remain vivid, bright and truly splendid. La Collegiata has also been used as a set to film a few scenes of Franco Zeffirelli’s Tea with Mussolini (1999).
6. Siena
Siena is one of the most popular and visited places in Tuscany. It is known throughout Italy for its distinguished medieval architecture. Upon arrival, explore its rich history and art, through its notable local monuments such as the famous seashell-shaped Piazza del Campo and the outstanding Siena Cathedral. 7. Duomo di Siena
TThe Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is the main location of Catholic worship in Tuscany, and the diocese of Siena. The building is located in the square of the same name in the center of the city. Built in Italian Gothic style, it is one of the most significant and spectacular churches built in Italy.
8. Piazza del Campo
Piazza del Campo (or simply, il Campo) is the main square of the city of Siena. Unique for its particular and original seashell shape, it is renowned all over the world for its beauty and architectural integrity, as well as for being the place where the Palio di Siena takes place twice a year.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR ENOUGH!!! Alessandro is an absolute pro, and made this experience one of the highlights of my honeymoon. Any person that ever tells me they are visiting Tuscany/Florence from here on out, I will INSIST they spend a day taking a tour through UNIQUE TUSCANY. 1. Every tour is customizable, so while Alessandro will make wonderful suggestions, he is great about making sure he can accommodate specific requests. 2. I cannot get over his vast breadth of knowledge, and how generously he shares it. We learned so much about each sight we visited, interesting facts about everything we drove past, history about Florence + Tuscany, about how different wine and olive oil producers make their products - there was nothing we asked about that he didn't have thorough answers to. 3. His passion and love for Florence and Tuscany is infectious. 4. He made wonderful recommendations for every category of activity we were interested in. 5. He makes the entire day seamless, as you are dropped off and picked up at the most convenient spots. He made it so that you never had to double back anywhere to meet back up with him - you can truly make the most of your time in each location you visit. I urge you to book through this company. Alessandro was such a wonderful driver and guide! He answered all my questions prior to our trip and was so accommodating! He took us to Pisa, San Giminiano and Pisa and gave us great recommendations for lunch, gelato and shopping. He was born and raised in Tuscany so knows the area really well. Highly recommend booking a day trip with him!

We had an amazing time with Alessandro, he picked us up from our Airbnb on time and drove his comfortable van with our family of four (2 teenagers). We went to Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena, he dropped us and picked us up later in every city, he showed us the beautiful Tuscan country side and recommended an amazing lunch and many other food/wine options, perfect day and experience!

Alessandro is amazing, very informative and helpful.
He gave us very good tour of Pisa, San gimignano and also took us to hill top view of Florence city.
He picked us up on time from our hotel and overall was a very hassle free relaxing trip with tons of information and beautiful site seeing. We esp enjoyed Pisa he arranged for our tour guide who was also great and also the ancient village was beautiful

Our driver, Alessandro, showed us the major things to see and drove us very close to them. He found us a super restaurant in the country side with typical Tuscan menu. Flexibility with time allocated in each city, enthusiastic explanations and safe driving. I will recommend this tour to all my friends.

Our family of five (Mum,Dad and three children aged 10 - 15) spent the day with Alessandro and it was fantastic. Highly recommend.
A very full day, Alessandro arrived ahead of time and was waiting outside our accomodation to pick us up at 9am. We visited Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena. Alessandro booked a wonderful lunch for us at a winery which was such a special experience. I highly recommend.

Alessandro was exceptionally kind and extremely knowledgeable. Our first stop was Pisa. When we arrived back to the vehicle Alessandro provided us with bottles of cold water which was very appreciated ( very hot day). We then took a breathtaking scenic route to San Gimigagno..and had such lovely conversations with Alessandro along the way. We had a few hours to explore and had the best gelato . We then headed to Sienna..Alessandro helped us plan a walking path down, and what sites to see..
It was a beautiful day
Alessandro was very professional, very kind, extremely knowledgeable, and very proud of his heritage
Highly recommend this experience !

This was a truly amazing day trip, thanks to Alex! We stayed in Florence and took the day trip to Pisa, San Gimignano, and then Sienna. My husband and I tried to drive to San Gimignano on our honeymoon (many years ago) and trust me Alex's day trip is the way to go, don't do this on your own. Alex picked us up at our flat and gave us the insider stories about Italy and the surrounding areas. He dropped us off at each location- gave us time to enjoy the sites - then returned to pick us up. We didn't have to worry about parking or anything at all, just enjoyed the trip and the cities we were visiting. Alex was professional and delightful (he spoke fluent English) HIGHLY RECOMMEND the PRIVATE Full-Day Tour of Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena from Florence, worth every cent! This was one of our favorite days in Europe! Alex is an incredible tour guide: he shared some history information, but not so much that it became information overload! I love that he selected vineyards to share with us that are organic, not crowded, and had awesome lunches! Alex grew up in the area, so he truly knows the best wineries to visit. He also gave us ample time to spend on our own so we had some downtime to relax. Wonderful host. I’ll use him every time I visit!
