We had an awesome time on this tour. Luis our Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and took time to explain each area of the tour.

This was a really enjoyable tour. Took in some utterly mesmerising views at both Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf mountain. The Selaron steps were also included and are well worth a visit. Our guide, Warley, was an absolute superstar. Just a lovely, lovely man. Very funny and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour with this operator to anyone visiting Rio.

My wife and I booked an all-day package tour through our hotel - Corcovado/Christ the Redeemer, Selaron Steps, a brief stop at Maracana Stadium and winding up with Pao de Acucar. A dinner was also included as an option at a Churascaria in Ipanema near my hotel.

A long day, but well worth it especially with Luis Wanderley as our guide. He was wonderful. Very impressive how he provided all the background in multiple languages while driving around. By the way, our driver Rogerio (Roger) was also awesome as he navigated the tight streets of Rio. They were both extremely professional and courteous.

I strongly recommend Gray Line tours (I had no idea they operated in Brazil) and make sure you ask for Luis.

Ciao!

We were able to schedule a tour to see the Christ Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and Selarón Steps through our hotel in Copacabana. It was very well recommended by the hotel concierge. We schedule for a later, and because we were a large group of 12 people the tour with Gray line Tours was able to personalize it for us. The driver and van were great to go to all the sites, very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Our driver was so nice, attentive and professional. We had the BEST tour guide we could have ever hoped for for! Tania Teixeira or TT was such a pleasant surprise in the tour and Rio. During the whole tour TT talked about Rio's history and landscape, with context, lightness, joy and passion (and also music). It was so much fun!! She was able to guide us in such a brilliant way that not even the clouds and fog were able to stay upon the Crist the Redeemer when we were there. It was a magical day getting to know Rio with our family and friends and to do so with a trustworthy company and guide is the best! Another important factor is that TT knows several languages so she was able to do the tour completely in English and assist in all the steps of the tour, ticketing, timing and logistics. We highly recommend Grayline Tours and TT as a guide for your trip in Rio! The amount of time was very good to visit the 3 locations and super worth it!

We had a fabulous half-day trip in Rio where we visited Christ the Redeemer, the Selaron Steps and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Warley was our welcoming, very informative and humorous guide. He put everyone at ease, was very attentive to our needs and ensured that the whole trip ran smoothly. We could not have asked for a more pleasant excursion.

We had a horrible experience with Gray Line tours, a guide named Leal, going to Sugar Loaf, the Selaron Steps, and Christ the Redeemer. There were long waits and the tour didn't help avoid them much if at all. The guide did not provide any insights (other than biased beliefs about whether a certain neighborhood was good or not- Copacabana is [profanity], he said) and when ask historical questions (when is this church from?) he had no answers. He picked us up and then we had to wait an hour as all the other participants were picked up from their hotels. At the end of the day, he had promised explicitly to drop us off first, but wound up saying that we would be dropped last because it was more convenient. Since it would have meant we would arrive 2+ hours after expected and miss a family dinner reservation, we wound up getting out of the tour van and taking a cab back to our hotel at additional cost. The guide stopped to talk to a friend he saw on Sugar Loaf mountain - unrelated to our tour- and had all of us sitting and waiting watching him chat away for a good 10+ minutes before I complained and said it was unfair. The guide repeatedly referred to one family on our tour as "the Mexicans" in a manner that my daughter perceived as discriminatory. All in all- this was a bad tour- the kind that makes you never want to take another tour! I very very rarely write bad reviews but I had to say something about this disaster.

A famous way to get to know three of the most important places in Rio. Warley is great, he was attentive to everything and made us have a great time, especially since it was December 31st. It was a fantastic day.
