1. Chellah
Or Sala Colonia is a necropolis and complex of ancient Roman Mauritania Tingitana and medieval ruins at the outskirts of Rabat, it is the most ancient human settlement on the mouth of the BouRegreg River.
2. Mausoleum of Mohammad V
Located on the opposite side of Yaakub Al Mansour esplanade. It contains the tombs of the Moroccan king Mohammed V and his two sons, late King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.
3. Hassan Tower
It’s the minaret of an incomplete mosque, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with its mosque but the work stopped just after the death of Yaakub Al Mansour.
4. Kasbah des Oudaias
The Kasbah is located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River, built in the twelfth century by the Almohads who called it “Al Mahdia” in reference to their leader Al Mahdi Ben Tumurt. Originally this Kasbah was a Ribat (a military defense). And later the kasbah gave its name to the whole city. Kasbah Oudayas is a city within a city, a little city apart in Rabat. In 2012 it was inscribed on the list of World Heritage of UNESCO as a cultural asset along with other sites in the city.
5. Hassan II Mosque
Outside visit of the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and seventh largest in entire world. 6. Place des Nations Unies
magined as the commercial heart and the communication hub of the city. In addition, with the desire to revitalize public spaces, the Place des Nations Unies is regularly the theater Place des Nations Unies (Formerly Place de France). 8. Mahkama Du Pacha
The most important building in the nablus quarter, built between 1941 and 1952, signed Auguste Cadet, this big court a veritable masterpiece of Moroccan Artisanat. The Mahkama formerly housed the reception halls of the Pasha of Casablanca, as well as Muslim courthouse covering a space of 6200 sum, including 6 Halls of 64 big salons, offices and several galleries. 9. Mosquee Moulay Youssef
Built by the Sultan Moulay Youssef on 1923, it is the first Mosque erected by Auguste Cadet. The Minaret, is the Almouhade style, and its similar to Al Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech and the Seville's Giralda.
10. Quartier Habous
Built by the French colonial and designed by the French architect and urban planner "Henri Prost" at the beginning of the 20th century, after the arrival of the Protectorat. The Quartier Habous; is a mixture of the French architecture with the Moroccan Details. It was designed to fit the Muslims lifestyle, this is why we find inside Mosques, madrassas, markets, public bakery, Kissarias (gallery of Shops), and Moroccan houses where the style was picked from Fez and Marrakech architecture.
