We were able to book a 5.5 hour long tour the day of and were very glad we were able to do so. We booked with Trip and Tickets and met at the Central Station location. We loaded on to a double decker bus and took a ride to our first stop...the Windmills. We got a tour of the windmill and a demonstration describing how the mill made peanut oil. After he was done, he led us up to the "roof" where we were able to walk around and see the whole area from a higher point. The shops were great and was able to buy some terrific souvenirs. We then went onto 4 other stops but would highly recommend the Windmills!

Diana was lovely person in in addition to being an excellent tour guide - we had a great time being shown Zaanse Schans by her. With her local knowledge, you get to see and learn more about the area than if you wander around by yourself. On the tour, you get to see everything from windmills, a traditional cheese making house, to clogs and fresh stroopwaffles. Would highly recommend this tour with her.

We really enjoyed the tour. Diana was most helpful, both with the logistics before the tour as well as on the tour. She was friendly and knowledgeable, and kept adults and kids engaged throughout. Highly recommend touring with her.

Diana was amazing and I’d highly recommend. She grew up in the area and knows the history. Great tour. Our kids (11 and 13) also loved it.

Diana is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. It was nice to learn about the area from a local. She greeted us at the station and gave us tips about navigating the area and insights into local culture and traditions while walking to the village. Diana’s understanding of the area and the history surrounding it was very extensive. We would definitely take another tour with her. Thanks!

Diane was a fabulous guide. She’s very knowledgeable, personable and helpful in many ways. This is a walking tour and you meet her at a location and she takes you through all the sites. It is well worth traveling to meet her and have her take you to the different sites.

Diana was amazing from start to finish! She was so helpful in helping us figure out how to take public transport from Amsterdam to Zanshee Schaans, and was waiting for us with her red bag just when we stepped off the train. She is a true local with a passion for this beautiful town, it’s traditions and of course the windmills. Could not recommend her more!

Diane was lovely. The groups are small and personal. Gave us a good information about the town and she knew the sites well that she helped us avoid the karge tourist crowds!!
Being a local, she knew the history and current developments of the town. The cheese is to die for!!

Diana was waiting for us at the station when we arrived. It was great to start early to avoid the crowds. The area is amazing. The tour itself is very interesting and very informative. Diana is a great guide and made us feel like old friends. Highly recommended!
