This Active Van Tour is a great way to see Yellowstone National Park beginning in the fun gateway town of West Yellowstone. The early morning part of the tour explores wildlife haunts in the famous Shadow Canyon of the Madison River. This area is home to bear and elk. Later we hike to an overlook of the famous Grand Prismatic Hot Springs. If you don't feel like walking we find a safe, scenic spot for you to wait for the group near the van. Next we explore the Old Faithful area, including some time at the famous Old Faithful Inn. We continue over the continental divide at Isa Lake and down to the West Thumb Geyser Basin on Yellowstone Lake for a view of some spectacular lakeside thermal pools. Continuing our drive along Yellowstone Lake we arrive in the Hayden Valley where big herds of bison roam. Finally, we arrive at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone to view the canyon and the amazing falls (one is almost 200 feet tall!). The day concludes back at West Yellowstone.

The tour was excellent both Chris and Nakul were tremendous. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and love of Yellowstone enhanced our experience.

We really enjoyed this tour. Josh was full of knowledge and information but above all he was so enthusiastic and engaging. It was a really good day and we got so much more than we could possibly have had just covering the ground ourselves. We thoroughly recommend it.

Yellowstone is truly an amazing place, and we had a terrific time on this tour. Our guides, Michael and Austin were friendly and knowledgeable. They took us to the "must see" site locations and offered facts and folklore of the park. The lunch was satisfying and the snacks plentiful. The only delays we encountered were waiting for the buffalo blocking the path to the Grand Prismatic or the herd leading a vehicle parade through the park. The short hike to the Prismatic was a bit of a strain for lowlanders, but the guides were patient and encouraging. Impeccable timing allowed us to see the tail end of one eruption and then a second full eruption at Old Faithful. The only thing missing was a bear sighting, but it was not for lack of trying or optimism!
At the end of the tour they gave us tips for our self-guided tour of the upper loop before embarking on our 25 hour drive home to Texas. Thanks again!

We love seeing old faithful erupt! We saw lots of Elk. Our guide was very good and knowledgeable. We had a great experience and highly recommend!

Josh our guide was very kind, extremely knowledgeable, and so enthusiastic about Yellowstone. He was very timely in picking us up and was all prepared with hot drinks or pretty much anything we could possibly need all day. I can’t even count how many stops we made along the lower loop but he made sure we saw all the highlights, and then some, including waiting about 90 min for old faithful (we were able to go off on our own and walk on nearby trails, check out the stunning hotel then we met up with him once the geyser went off) We felt very safe with him and it was so nice just to leave the driving and parking to someone else for the day. Highly recommend.

Josh was an awesome guide. Took care of our every need, always offering us drinks and a great snack bag with many choices for each of us. He was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant from his very timely pick up to when he dropped us off. Lunch was great too, we found an impromptu spot and had such a pleasant picnic. It was so nice to leave the driving and parking to someone else, highly recommend

The tour was exceptional. We were able to see everything we had hoped for from this tour. Chris and Dallas took great care in getting to know our group and what we all were wanting to see. They also did a great job letting us know about additional ways to see the park either with the tour company or on our own. At every stop and along the way they elaborated on what we were seeing and also shared some interesting experiences in the park. This was the best way to visit Yellowstone. Money well spent!

Had Joshua as our tour guide. Josh and the group were just great. No rushing and had enough time to stop at each point. Josh was very patient and knowledgeable. I was apprehensive at first due to the price but now in retrospect, I would not be able to cover all of the hike+ poiints of interests on my own. Highly recommended!
