This tour exceeded all our expectations. Our tour guide,Ellen, was very friendly, & had incredibly interesting knowledge of area history, which she shared with us, on a very pleasant, scenic, drive from NOLA to the Destrehan & Houmas House Plantations. These plantations, & surrounding yards, are stunningly beautiful. Tours of the mansions, by docents in authentic period dress, were very interesting. Last but not least, lunch at Houmas house restaurant was great.
For those of us who are mobility impaired, it would have been nice to have a few benches around, to sit down on briefly, during the hour long tours of homes.

Great tour guide. Stephen was very very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a great overview on the history of New Orleans from weather to food and more! Definitely recommend! He took care of everything and helped us throughout the day.

Good to have a chance to see 2 plantations and have lunch as well. Lovely houses and grounds with both.
Destrehan gives some insight to house and slavery whilst Houmas focuses purely on the house and family.
Good communication regarding pick up place and time. Was very punctual.
Gisèle the guide was extremely knowledgeable.
Liked the fact it was a small group tour and transport was very comfortable. Easy to speak to guide and others in the group.
unexpected highlight was seeing the bed Bette Davis had slept in and the props from the film.

Very relaxed day visiting the most beautiful plantations. Our guide was an excellent driver and knowledgeable tour guide. Made sure we were all happy.

The history/story behind the mansions was very informative and the mansions architecture very nice. But 45 minutes was not enough time to eat lunch; the buffet containers were essentially empty of food and the food was not very good at all. I believe you should reimburse me for the food costs I payed

The tour was informative and a lot of fun. I would recommend it for a relaxing view of the past. The lunch was tasty and we were not rushed. Everything was a smooth.
