Dominican's Airport Transfer (Bavaro, Punta Cana, La Romana )

Poor communication. Our first driver drove way too fast and seemed to have anger issues. I did not feel safe. Our second driver was much better but never gave us a pick up time. The hotel had to call hqt to get us a transfer pick up time. Probably would not use this comment again.

The driver services was great, we had Armando for our pick up and drop off. The only thing I did not like is the inconsistencies with communication, we knew about the pick up at the airport, but when it was time to leave, no one was answering their messages and I had to call in directly the same morning as we were uncertain what time or who was going to pick us up.

Booked & prepaid for a round trip transfer from the Punta Cana airport to / from a resort in the Uvero Alto area. Before we left, they started texting us about using them for tours & excursions.

Finding their rep in the airport departure area was frustrating and chaotic - our name was in small letters on a sign sitting on the ground, surrounded by "representatives" trying to get you to use their service. After much back and forth texting, a surly rep finally found us and got us into a van to our destination. The driver, Pablo, was great and got us their quickly & safely.

The day before our departure, they texted to give us the pickup time, which I confirmed. I texted again the next morning - no response. We were ready 15 minutes early, waiting for them in the hotel lobby. The pickup time came & went - no van. We tried to reach them through both numbers via text & voice - no response, and only voice mail to leave a message.

Concerned about making our flight, we aske d the hotel for help and they arranged transportation. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the HQT van finally pulled up. The only explanation was "traffic", but no apologies for the total lack of communication. The driver did a good job of getting us to the airport, but we never received a single response to any of our messages.

I stumbled upon HQT after desperately looking for a shuttle from the airport to my resort and I couldn’t be happier. I met Joanna after landing and not only was she extremely personable and professional, she also ended up making a huge difference in my vacation experience. They made planning shuttles and a party boat trip for my very large group very easy when normally it would be a logistical nightmare. I personally want to thank Joanna for being extremely helpful and flexible. This is a great service, if you’re ever in Punta Cana I highly recommend using HQT for shuttles and day trips at reasonable prices.
