The experience starts at the artist workshop where he will do a brief introduction about his artistic life and watercolors art.
Then, Nicola will bring you on the romantic spot (chosen at the moment) where you start to paint your own artwork.
You will admire the wonderful landscapes of Venice creating your personal painting.
Lesson are suitable both for beginners and experts and to everyone who wishes painting would live “en plein air” discovering the techniques of watercolor.

My daughter is an 18-year-old aspiring art student who usually paints with oil. I signed her up for this class as a surprise, so that she could learn a little bit more about watercolor painting. Nicola was the perfect teacher for her – patient, encouraging, and able to give specific instruction about using water colors, as well as valuable feedback as to how she could improve her work. She could not have been more pleased, and neither could I. Thank you, Nicola!

Nicola was wonderful. He spent the whole time working with my granddaughter who learnt new water color techniques. She enjoyed the experience immensely. Thoroughly recommended.

We couldn’t make the class and there were no other time options. Keep in mind when you book this that it is a long drawn out story to enter. Venice and get around. I have young kids and after traveling were in no mood to get up at 6:30am to start the trek into Venice. We lost out on $350.

This was such a wonderful experience! Our host was so incredibly nice, and we loved our time with him. He chose a beautiful picturesque position for us to set up and gave lots of helpful instruction. The only reason I didn’t give all five stars is that I do think you need a little bit more skill for this class if you expect to have a completed painting at the end. None of us have watercolor experience, but both of my kids love art so we gave it a try. We needed more guidance than time would allow. It really wasn’t much of a downside to us because we had so much fun, but it’s good to know for managing expectations. There were just the four of us, my husband and my two kids, nine and 10. We would all do it again, in a heartbeat, and totally recommend it to anyone interested! Thank you for a wonderful morning in Venice!

Best thing we did on our mother & daughters trip to Venice! It's not common to get a private art lesson from a renowned working artist. Nicola was very kind and patient and went above and beyond to give us a full plein air watercolor lesson! We three (ages 18-50) highly recommend this memorable experience!!
