Jonathan was a great guide. He provided a lot of information on ingredients that are used in this area for traditional meals and cooking methods. The places we went were excellent and friendly to my 18 month old nephew. While we enjoyed the various dishes, Jonathan entertained Caleb, my nephew. It was a great experience!

Stop searching for excursions and book this experience. Our guide, Jonathan was fantastic and made this such a cool experience. He shared numerous history facts and interesting information about Mexican culture and was truly an expert of the local area. He took us to 6 different stops and every single one was delicious and unique. As others mentioned I also recommend doing this on day 1 so you can learn the area and go back to the great local spots instead of the touristy/overpriced restaurants. Thank you Jonathan!

Loved hearing about the culture and gastronomic history of Mexican food! We lucked out and had the tour guide all to ourselves - very knowledgeable and friendly, and brought us to some great places to eat. Highly recommend!!

All of us really enjoyed the walking Food Tour with Jonathan. He is very knowledgeable and he took us to many places with excellent food. Places off the beaten path that are not in the tourist area. We tasted some foods we had never had before and loved them. Now we know some great places to eat, just like the locals do. Thank you, Jonathan.

Outstanding walkabout sampling the awesome local food - tacos, tamales, elota, horchata, etc - from the best local vendors in the city. The guide was hugely knowledgeable regarding not only the local food but the history and politics of the entire food industry.

We had the best time on this tour and the food was SO good. Some food tours don't take you off the tourist trail at all- on this one we really did go to local spots. The guide is obviously passionate about the local community and sharing the culture and food with visitors. Highly recommend
