This great value small-group tour includes transfers from your hotel or port to Kuranda. Travel past fields of Sugar Cane and ascend the magnificent Macalister Range through beautiful World Heritage listed tropical rainforest on the Kennedy Highway, named after the famous explorer. After a brief orientation tour of the village itself you will be dropped off and will have over 3 hours to explore the markets, galleries, souvenir shops and zoos (fees apply). A wide range of dining options also awaits you.
After your free time in Kuranda, make your way to the nearby Kuranda Railway Station to board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for a journey through the rainforest that takes you over 37 bridges and through 15 tunnels. You will be met at Freshwater Station for your transfer back to your hotel or port, arriving approximately 4pm. Alternatively, you may choose to travel onwards to Cairns Station and walk to your city accommodation.

Enjoyable day trip to Kuranda village to check out the markets & wildlife. Scenic railway back down which was informative with wonderful views. Michael was great, very knowledgeable, down to earth & friendly. Highly recommended.

The guide/Driver/Owner was very knowledgeable and informative on the drive up and provided us maps of the town. Train trip down was fantastic.

The hundred year old train itself was an experience. Learning about its history was interesting. Seeing some waterfalls was lovely.
The only Disappointing thing was I hadn’t seen the tour online that included the skyrail,
Which we are so sorry we missed. I feel the tour operator could’ve contacted us to let us know about this addition or even when he dropped off the other passengers, he could’ve asked us if we wanted to get off and buy tickets there. We were thinking we would still have the option to go on that after the train.. not realising the train was at the end of the day and we would’ve had to get the sky rail up there and the train back.

We had an amazing day our tour guide was amazing talked to us the hole time telling us about the things we seen along the way to our destination. When we pulled up he was there waiting on us it was a hassle free day pick up and dropped off at your door amazing highly recommend

Our family just went yesterday, nice weather,not very warm,we enjoyed all day long trip, beautiful views and interesting activities, had tasty food there as well, Michael is very professional and knowledgeable trip organiser and guider. heaps thanks to Michael!

A wonderful trip up into the mountains. It was like a step back in history. The views were fantastic and the train ride was very smooth. The markets up in the township were just so different. Lots of fun

Michael was fabulous, you can tell he really cares about all his guests. Communication was great, we never felt confused or lost. Love that he provides his transportation services no matter what excursion you are looking to do. We chose to ride up the mountain with Michael for his commentary, enjoyed a hike in the jungle, explored the markets and then took the train down where he met us at a stop and walked us back to the bus.
