Baja Vikings Ecoventures is a family owned and operated company with over 10 years experience in Los Cabos. With our custom built 28 foot Apex speed boat on this Snorkeling tour we focus on smaller groups and getting away from the crowded snorkeling sites. Each tour is guided by a local certified guide that will be able to point out and educate you on the different marine life. Our mission is to enter the water safely and respectfully to the marine life and surroundings.

Peter and Alex are great!! It was a very personalized trip and we saw a ton of whales up close!!!! The meeting point is very obscure, as mentioned by others, but they found us when we couldn’t find them!!!

Our experience with Baja Vikings could not have been better. Mario was welcoming, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to take care of the six passengers, including my two kids ages 11 and 14. The snorkeling at Chileno Bay was terrific and we were able to see a number of whales on the way back to the marina. I would absolutely choose Baja Vikings again for a Cabo excursion.

After getting a runaround from our resort's "concierge" we finally did our own search and found these guys.
Our guide was knowledgeable and personable, and so was the captain.
We saw a lot of whales, and were as close as we could get without disturbing them.
The snorkel spot was wonderful -- as my GoPro stills will testify!
Coming back, we spotted a gathering of boats that was highly indicative of whale watching, so the captain pulled back on the throttle so that we could join them. Let me tell you -- two 200 hp. Yamaha outboards move that RIB boat nicely!
So here's what we got:
A tour that left on time by Mexican standards.
A well found boat with proper safety equipment and a qualified captain and crew.
All the whale watching we could want.
More than enough snorkeling, and with really good equipment.
Some great sight-seeing from the water.
The ability to just stay in the area for dinner and just Uber back to our resort.
The promised photos of our trip a few days later.
Here's what we didn't get:
Hosed. (Financially)
An overpriced bus or van ride on a rigid schedule.
Now, if you're in the area, this is the place to go for snorkeling and whale watching!

This is the second season in a row doing a tour with Baja Vikings and it is the only company I will ever use. The guide and captain are very knowledgeable and courteous and make you feel personally welcome versus just being another tourist. Their boats are the best for the types of tours they do and the free photos are a huge bonus. Again, this was a top-notch experience and a solid way to go for any tour you might select.

This was an absolutely amazing snorkeling trip! Fernando and Mario were so great and so knowledgeable. They took so many pictures which were all included. We saw so many turtles on the way out to the snorkeling area and we even got to swim with a baby shark! This was the highlight of our week in Cabo! Must do!

Fantastic experience! This is the perfect excursion for the family. Our captain and the guide were funny, friendly, and knowledgable. My kids (6 and 9 years old) were having so much fun snorkeling. We saw many schools of fish, and even a spotted eagle ray!
The guide inspired my daughter to try free diving and he also gave her some tips how to do it right. Everyone in my family was very happy with the trip. We enjoyed it without worrying about taking the pictures since it offers the photo packages. I got to say the photos we received are very well done. Highly Recommended!

This is a must-do while in Cabo! Liz and Mario were fabulous. We never felt rushed, and Liz was so knowledgeable about the surrounding area. So thankful that she took photos for us so we could just be in the moment. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

I did a fair amount of research trying to find a boat tour with a emphasis on quality snorkeling. To be honest, I don’t really care about the alcohol or food or the party aspect that some of the other boats seem to offer. I also really loved that this group offered photos as part of the package. I was understandably a little nervous because they aren’t as big as other companies but I had high expectations going into the cruise.
We started the day with Fernando who informed us that we (my wife and I) would be the only people on the boat as another group had last minute cancelled.
Fernando (our guide) and Miguel (captain) were fantastic. They took the time to take us to the lovers beach, arc, divorce beach and take photos. Then Fernando heard from another guide that whales had been spotted in the area (not meant to be part of our tour) he and Miguel raced us over (yes the boat is truly a speedboat) and we were lucky enough to see 2 different pairs of humpback whales. Completely unexpected (late in season) and awesome. We were the first boat to get to the whales in both instances. Fernando explained to us the behavior of the whales and biology while taking photos of the whales and us.
We then departed to Chileno Bay for snorkeling (also seeing some jumping manta rays along the way.) when in the bay, Fernando used his go pro to get footage of all the fish and of myself and wife. We saw octopus, shark, plenty of different kinds of fish, coral, and as we were just about to leave a spotted eagle ray. Fernando spent extra time taking footage of this rare sighting. When we got in the boat to head back, he was so excited and passionate about telling us about his experiences free diving and helping us to identify the fish we saw.
I would 100% go out with this team again. We had a fantastic experience. Fernando said more than a handful of times that we got unusually lucky with the marine wildlife we saw. That being said, even if we were unfortunate and did not see much, the crew of Fernando and Miguel were so great to work with and clearly take pride in making sure that we have the best experience possible, that it would still be worth it.

We loved having a private boat! Fernando took us to an exclusive spot where we were the only ones there, and the snorkeling was amazing! We even saw a whale on our way there and it’s not even whale season. Thank you for the fun adventure!
