Excursion review
Throughout the excursion we were subject to what appeared to be a racist selection process where white participants were prioritized to go first (parasailing, boarding boats, etc). Other Black participants on the excursion noticed this as well and thanked us after we expressed our concerns regarding this behavior to the tour guide.
The company grouping multiple activities together in addition to the large amount of people present caused large amounts of time waiting instead of doing the activities themselves. Snorkeling was about 10 minutes. Parasailing was about 5 minutes. We had to wait for a group to do their stingray and shark activity which was not something we could participate in, additionally we were not informed ahead of time we would have to wait for others to do their activities before we could do ours. We estimate that what was supposed to be a 3 hour excursion turned into about a 7-8 hour excursion.
There wasn’t music, entertainment, drinks and food as promised throughout the excursion. We told the staff that we were thirsty but were told to wait while the captain was drinking what appeared to be mama Juana, an alcoholic beverage. The music, drinks, and food mostly were offered during the last couple hours of our time there. We never experienced the floating bar which was supposed to be included in the package that we purchased.
The activities themselves were fun, however the racist behavior paired with all of the waiting made the experience much less enjoyable than we were expecting and wanted.

Derly and the remaining of the crew a very nice and welcome. They kept the vibe the whole entire excursion. Sadly we didn’t get to see the sharks but they offered an alternative.
