Killarney National Park Tour

We started off with tea at the tea house, watching the people coming in and out of the park while waiting for our carriage. Then the clack of hooves came up the road and a beautiful vanner mare pulling a carriage arrived for us. Damian was absolutely a gem! He was charming and sweet and had incredible knowledge of the area from living here. I also loved chatting about his other horses and breeding experience! We had a lovely scenic route and stop at Ross Castle with lots of sightings of deer and flowers. It was an absolutely must do experience and the ride was so relaxing! The best way to see some of the park!

Our guide was amazing with great knowledge of the Irish history!! Loved his stories and our horse Molly was something special! Would highly recommend!!

Instead of letting our private tour company choose the company for our jaunting ride, we chose McCarthys after researching to confirm that their horses were well treated and cared for. It is a family run business and Damien was super helpful, answering my calls to get it set up, accommodating a change, and giving us an extraordinary experience while touring the National Park. He was warm and personable with a great sense of humor and a gift for storytelling. And we really enjoyed the teasing family Dynamics when we met up with his brother at the end of the tour. Thank you Damien for making our adventure so memorable and your patience with all my phone calls.😊

We had an excellent time on our tour. We hit a bunch of traffic due to an unexpected funeral on the way to the tour, but the guide was professional and patient and helped us navigate through it by phone. He was extremely knowledgeable, very personalable, took beautiful photos of us and provided great tips for the rest of our trip. I can't recommend this tour enough.

Our tour guide, Damien, was awesome! He explained so many things and was just all around great. We saw lots of wildlife. He gave us great tips for the rest of our trip and wrote them down for me in my phone. We would definitely recommend this!

My partner, sister and I had a fantastic time on the horse (Molly) and carriage ride through Killarney National Park. Would highly recommend this your for anyone who is in the area.
