There is no floating market . Your marketing is old!!!! The guide also confirmed saying once the bridges were built, people started using other means of transportation to buy and sell their products.

This trip is a great way to see some of the Mekong Delta. Our guide Beo was excellent. He was very engaging and informative and made sure the entire group was enjoying the excursions. All the stops during the trip were worthwhile. Make sure you visit the Can Tho Night Market!

Firstly positive:
1. We do advise to go to the Mekong Delta, we found it worth a visit to understand a different part of (past and current) life in Vietnam.
2. This 2 day trip is a good way to go a bit deeper than just a quick boat trip with some local things people try to sell you. So we also advise the 2 day trip over the 1 day trip. We liked the stops, activities.

Then the not so positive:
We did expect more from this tour. It felt rushed and more superficial than it can be. It lacked a bit of passion and in-depth knowledge of the region. The guide was kind and did his job, and that’s it. Most times it felt more like pushing and rushing us through some necessary stops, talked us through some general information. We got school trip vibes.
We had to run after him to not loose him, he didn’t interact apart from the absolutely necessary. Also I did not get a good answer to any of my follow up questions. It came across like he did not knew the answers.

We booked a 2 day trip to dig in deeper, so we were disappointed by this.

Tip:
Our guide advised us to not go to the market at 5 in the morning, but at 7, it would be exactly the same just a bit less busy… well, that was not true. We advise you to go at 5. At 7 all you see is other tourist boats and touristic attractions.

Very fun trip! Our guide Alex was very fun and will for ever remember him playing guitar and singing on the boat! Highly recommend this trip!

They called me less than 24h before and cancelled my tour because they don’t work on Jan 1st (I had booked this tour almost 3 months ago). When insisting, they told me that they overbooked and that they were going to try to arrange something for us and that they will call back. I didn’t receive a call so I tried to contact them on whatsapp. Whoever was in charge of the whatsapp account confirm that the tour was going ahead and that they were going to pick me up at 8 am the next day.

The next day came and no one was here to pick me up at 8 am, so I called and they told me that the tour was cancelled and that they couldn’t do anything (they could reschedule but we had the flight the next day so we couldn’t do it). We were now checked out of our hotel and with no hotel that night cause it was included on the tour.

We decided to go to their headquarters office and try to talk to someone there. When we arrived, at first, they didn’t believe us (the costumer), because they called Lucy the person that told us that it was cancelled and this person said that they sent an email (never received a written email or response saying that it was confirm that was cancelled apart from the initial call).
Then, they told us that the tour didn’t go ahead because we were only 2 and no one else booked the tour that day (a different reason from the one that Lucy gave us the day before). After showing the whatsapp messages and the tripadvisor messages, the person in the counter believed our situation and tried to accommodate us a Mekong Delta day private tour for the same price (our tour included the accommodation and 2 days of tour, and we still had to find accommodation in HCMC for that night and last minute during NYE holiday season which was 3x more expensive).
We decided to try to find accommodation and find a day tour that was cheaper on the next day (we couldn’t do it that day as it was already 9:30 am and all the tours had left.

Conclusion, if you can avoid this tour the better, they are not reliable and they are more expensive than others that you can find while walking around HCMC.

We had a tour with Phufoole and it was a great tour. He took good care of us and gave us a lot of background about the Mekong Delta.
