I got pick up for 5:30 am The tour was well-organized, informative, and enjoyable. We were picked up early in the morning in a comfortable air conditioned van. The drive was long but so worth it to experience the magnificent temples at Abu Simbel. Our guide, Michael Samy, was very pleasant and knowledgeable and even got us some falafel to eat. The visit to the Nubian Village was lovely as well as the boat ride across the Nile to get there. Great experience overall!

This tour was a wonderful experience that we never forget. Ahmed was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who made the tour fun and informative. He took me to the Abu Simbel Temples, where I was amazed by the huge and beautiful statues of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. He explained the history and significance of these temples, and how they were moved from their original location to save them from flooding when the Aswan High Dam was built .
After visiting the Abu Simbel Temples, we took a boat ride on Lake Nasser, the largest artificial lake in the world. The lake was calm and scenic, and we saw some birds and crocodiles along the way. We stopped at a Nubian village on Sehel Island, where we met some lovely locals who showed us their culture and traditions. They invited us to their homes, where we saw their colorful crafts, costumes, and houses. They also served us some delicious Nubian food and drink at a local restaurant .
