You’ll visit four or five of the most loved restaurants, hole-in-the-walls, and artisan food shops in downtown Colorado Springs (enough for a full meal!). Get a behind-the-scenes look into downtown’s blossoming culinary scene and see downtown from a true local's perspective. Enjoy historical storytelling of Pikes Peak, the gold rush, the railroad, and more from your expert local Tour Leader. Upgrade your ticket to include Colorado craft beer, cocktails, and wine for only $18. The itinerary provided is a sample and may be completely different than your actual tour. 1. Downtown Colorado Springs
Let's explore the delicious side of downtown Colorado Springs! Not only will your tour feature 4-5 unique culinary destinations, but you will also learn about our fascinating history along the way. Plus, downtown is a Certified Creative District, which means that there are more than 300 works on art on display! Don't forget to ask questions - we love an interactive group!

The Antlers Hotel is a historic hotel originally built for by William Jackson Palmer, our city's founder, in 1873. Here, we'll talk about the beginnings of Colorado Springs and the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad that passed through.

Located inside the original train depot that welcomed guests from the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad from 1871-1971, this restaurant serves up tasty burgers and creamy milkshakes. If you're lucky, you might even get to see a train pass by!
4. Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum
Originally the county courthouse built in 1903, the Pioneers Museum is architectural marvel and Wild West artifact treasure chest. We'll talk about the building itself as well as some of the local art pieces located in the park surrounding it.

Jack Quinn's Irish Pub is one of the most popular restaurants in downtown Colorado Springs and has been open since March 17, 1998. Serving homemade Irish fare in a space that feels like you're in a real pub in Ireland, Jack Quinn's welcomes everyone near and far with beer, grog, and delicious food.

AdAmAn Alley is a multi-sensory art installation commemorating 100 years of the AdAmAn Club, which ascends Pikes Peak every New Year's Eve to set off fireworks over the city.

The Mining Exchange Hotel, founded by Winfield Scott Stratton, was originally the largest gold and silver stock exchange in the county. We'll talk about the gold rush and the largest mine to have ever been found in Colorado, the Independence Load.

We'll visit the only lemonade tap house in the nation featuring handcrafted, organic cane sugar and fresh lemons. Tour guests will enjoy a 10% discount!
9. Acacia Park
Acacia Park is at the heart of Downtown Colorado Springs and is one of the oldest parks in the city. We'll talk about the public art, the historic band stand, and musical fountain on our way to the next culinary destination. Don't forget to ask your tour guide about some of the nearby boutique shopping!

Celebrity Chef Brother Luck has two restaurants in downtown Colorado Springs, and your tour may feature one of them! Four by Brother Luck is southwest inspired fare featuring local ingredients and farm fresh produce. We'll try a dish that Chef Luck served on Season 16 of Top Chef.
11. Pikes Peak - America's Mountain
While we won't get to actually ascend the the mountain on our tour, we will talk about this magnificent natural wonder of the United States. With Pikes Peak looming over the buildings of downtown Colorado Springs, we'll talk about how it was named, world-renown events happening there every year, and of course the famous food you can get at the top.

Josh and John's has been serving their delicious "mountain churn" ice cream in downtown Colorado Springs since 1986! We'll try the "Purple Mountain Majesty," which is the flavor they created in honor of the 100-year anniversary of the Pikes Peak Hillclimb. This location is hugely popular with the locals, but you'll get to skip the line with the food tour!

Our Tour guide was Roger and he was fabulous! His knowledge of Colorado Springs History was so so interesting along with his personal experience made this tour a 10! All of the venues we visited were excellent.

I Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for something new and different to experience.

Roger was friendly, very knowledgeable, and I had a great time sampling the food. The five stops were plenty of food for lunch and dinner. I loved the history and fun facts Roger provided. I upgraded to adding alcohol tasting as well.

Went with a group of locals and we learned a lot, discovered hidden gems that we pass by every day and gained a deeper appreciation of Colorado Springs! Kathy was a fun and engaging guide whose love for the city is infectious. I’d recommend this trip to anyone new to the area and wants a taste (pun intended) of what Colorado Springs has to offer!

Such a great time! There were six of us which made for a very personalized tour. 5 different stops and a variety of foods. I'll be looking into their other offerings. What a fun way to spend the afternoon. Roger knows a lot of local history and lore. He works Fridays.

Trip was a lot of fun, Beth knew her history and kept the trip engaging. She was very easy to talk to, got to learn a lot about the springs in a very relaxed way. Someone give her a raise! 10/10

My husband and I had been on a food tour in Seattle, so we were excited to try out this food tour in downtown Colorado Springs! Our tour guide Jason took us on the south route, and we went to 4 culinary destinations (at COATI we tried food at two of the restaurants inside, so 5 tastings in all). The food was all super tasty and diverse! I loved going to places I had never been to before. Each place offered a decent size sample (probably about 1/2 portion what you might be able to order if you came back). Jason shared a bunch of the history of the city, which was super interesting. He made the tour super fun and connected well with each member of the tour group (7 people). I would highly recommend this food tour for anyone who wants to support local businesses, learn about Colorado Springs, meet awesome people, and enjoy tasty food. I would definitely come back for another food tour with Rocky Mountain Food Tours and do another route!

Our tour guide Kathy was amazing!! She was very knowledgeable about Colorado Springs history, great stories about the food stops, and was a pleasant tour guide all around. I told her I would definitely be bringing friends on a tour when they come to visit and can’t wait to sign up for another of her tours. I give her 5 stars all around!!!
