Discover the Historic quarter of the city, the Barrio Historico, and the Colonia del Sacramento city.

The tour includes visiting the Rambla, with its beautiful beaches and the famous bullring.

When visiting the historic quarter of the city, you will be able to learn about the ancient buildings, the wall, the city gate, and original cobblestone streets; for example, "Calle de Los Suspiros" (Street of Sighs), which is probably Uruguay's most beautiful pedestrian street. As well as discover the differences between Portuguese and Spanish houses.

You will feel the calm atmosphere of the layback town by visiting this charming place that is located just 1 hour and 15 minutes by ferry across the "Río de la Plata" from the big city of Buenos Aires.
Walking along the lovely cobbled streets, you will discover magical sites that will make you experience a true journey through time.

The tour is cool, but there isn't much to see or do, I liked the Ferry Boat transportation which is incredible, a really cool giant boat that even has Dutty Free with great prices, more than the tour itself. I wouldn't go back as there isn't much to do other than learn a little about the local history and have lunch in a typical restaurant. The Lighthouse that I would have liked to have climbed was closed, it seems that it only opens on weekends, it receives tourists every day, it was essential that they opened every day, I was disappointed. the abusive prices, very expensive, I even paid 15 reais for a water, full of mosquitoes, we all got bitten due to this infestation that is also there. Anyway, I don't recommend it and it's not worth the amount spent, which was more than 300 reais per person.

Andres was waiting for us even though the ferry was running late. Having lived there all his life, he gave us an informative private tour. Makes it an easy day trip from Buenos Aires.

When our Ferry arrived to Colonia del Sacramento we were the only ones part of the English speaking walking tour and we had an excellent guide who took her time to explain the history of Uruguay as well as of Colonia and instead of doing the walking tour in one hour, she stayed with us almost two hours which made our trip to Colonia very interesting

Damian was fabulous! We communicated prior to the trip and kept in touch until our arrival at the Colonia port where we were immediately met. He has an excellent knowledge of the local wine industry and relationship with the local vintners. We are planning a repeat trip and would enlist his services in the future.

My husband and I absolutely loved our wine tour from Colonia! Arriving at the port, we quickly spotted our guide, Diego, and were off to Carmelo. Diego was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. During the hour long drive to Carmelo, he provided us with great information about the history of the area and the wine. We tasted wine at 2 different bodegas, each different from the other. We frequently travel around the world to different wine regions, and this one exceeded our expectations. The wines were fantastic, and the region is beautiful. I highly recommend this tour!!

Borravino arranged 3 wonderful days of custom wine tasting tours in Mendoza with extremely knowledgeable guides, plus one wonderful (albeit rainy) day in Uruguay and a trip up into the Andes.

This tour was amazing! It started wonderful when we met Damian, our guide. He took us on a fantastic trip through the rolling hills outside Colonia, a needed change from Buenas Aires. All the while answering any questions we had as he explained the history of the area. It only got better when we stopped at the first winery (Bodega). Before we tried any wine Damian took us on a tour of the whole wine making process, including the cellar for this location. The we had a chance to enjoy one of my new favorite wines. Tannat! The second location was even better, somehow more beautiful and spending the afternoon with the winemaker himself wasn’t bad either ;) This trip is a must and you will thank yourself after you try for first glass of Tannat!

Damien was a fantastic guide for a calm relaxing day outside of Buenos Aires. He met us right when we got off of the ferry. We went to a larger winery and he explained the history of the wines and the winery while we went on a private tour of the vineyard. We then went to a small boutique winery that was perfection! The tour was great and the wines were excellent. We even got to do a barrel tasting. Once we got back to Colonia, Damien dropped us off with some suggestions on how to spend our afternoon before getting back on the ferry. It was a wonderful day! We will definitely be booking his other tours.

Had a great day visiting a couple of vineyards and seeing the countryside of Uruguay. We were met at the arrival of the ferry and driven to the first vineyard. There were great appetizers served along with delicious wine. At the end we had time to walk around Colonia del Sacramento.
