Your tour will start from the old port of Fira. Your first destination will be the volcano bay for 1 hour and 30 minutes. If you decide to visit the volcano you will have to pay a 5€ ticket fee at the entrance. Your tour escort will show you various key points of the volcanic path and you will be guided all the way up to the top, where you will be informed about the history of the volcano. Please consider that the hike needs a moderate amount of walking.

After the volcano tour, the boat will depart and head towards the hot springs of Palea Kameni island. Once you arrive at the hot springs, you will have 30 minutes of swimming time. The boat will stop at an estimated distance of approximately 30-40 meters that you will have to swim to reach the thermal waters. It is important to note that the customers that will decide to swim at the hot springs, must be strong and skilled swimmers, since they will have to swim a relatively long distance (30-40 meters).

This was a unique Santorini experience, A short boat ride trip with beautiful views to the volcano and then approximately 1 hour hike to the top of the volcano and back down. The guide was great with information along the way. The views of the caldera are incredible from the top! The hike is all uphill on loose rock and gravel and there isn’t any shade. We loved it but I wouldn’t recommend for small kids or people with health concerns. Afterwards the stop at the hot springs for swimming was beautiful and then more great views on the way back to port. Great value. I recommend taking the tram down to the port- we walked the stairs which is a long trek and were quite hot from that before doing the hike and this was in late May- so in summer it will be even hotter- take the tram 😂

Excellent value for money, very professional crew, great scenery and overall a great experience. The hot springs were good and appreciated the caution about swimming the short distance to ensure everyone was safe. The 3 hours was just enough on a hot day.

We were thinking of taking a cattamaran tour around the island and visit the differnet beaches but didn't want to spend that much money or time on the encursion. This was a great way to see the caldera from the sea without taking a longer tour.

Maybe I missed reading it but we were surprised by the additional $5 a person to hike the volcano. The $5 was an entrance fee to the national park, which was fine, I just think that should have been made more clear. We weren’t told until the day of that the hot springs have sulfur in them that can stain light colored suits, we would have packed differently if we had known before our trip. Some of my kids were not planning on swimming but sitting on the edge of the pool to soak their feet, we did not know that we would be jumping from the boat and swimming 50 meters through the sea to get to the hot springs. We had a good time, but would have prepared differently if we had more information.

The worst experience of my life. A man on board died on our trip. Something happened in the water, and he was found unconscious. It was the efforts of the other passengers to save him, who attempted CPR.

The ship crew did nothing; when the “medic” named himself, he said “what do you want me to do” to which we replied, go to the man who needs help - he said “I can’t leave my ship”

The other passengers took charge, trying to save the life of Carl while his two daughters and wife had to watch.

He unfortunately did not make it. Had there been medical equipment or anyone with medical training, perhaps this man would not have died. Perhaps that wife and two daughters wouldn’t have watched him die

The crew never said a word, never addressed it - we all got off the boat at shore with not a word. This was negligence, horrific. Do not take this trip, should an emergency take place, you will not be safe

This started off as a great tour. The hike up to the volcano was lead by a very knowledgeable guide who was very nice. Great views and cool to see the smoke coming from the volcano.
Our next stop was the hot springs, a very pretty spot. We enjoyed our swim there.
Sadly, just as our time there was complete, another guest had a medical event and other guests shouted for help.
Other guests performed CPR, my son in law and son swam to main boat for help and screamed for a life raft which they swam to the location. No one from the shop was willing to help. It took 45 minutes for a medical boat to arrive. Unfortunately the man passed away but it was extremely sad for all the guests to not only witness but to try and rescue this poor man with no safety equipment being on board or offered.
Other tours usually have a staff in a zodiac monitoring guests while in the water and some protocol for emergencies.
We all felt so bad for his family who watched this and guests who stepped up to help.
We know bad things can happen but it was the lack of emergency procedures and equipment and a lack of assistance from any staff that made it so much worse.

Great trip to see the volcano on the boat.

The boat wasn’t crowded and the guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Santorini.

The hot springs wasn’t much though

The swim at the hot springs was nothing like advertised. You pulled up to the springs location and had to swim quite a long distance and was only given 30 minutes.
