Imagine yourself kayaking in the crystal blue waters surrounding the Most Easterly Point of Australia spotting dolphins, humpback whales (from May to Oct) and turtles. This kayak trip is suitable for most levels of fitness, is easy and it lots of fun!
We embark on our ocean sea kayak tour from Clarke's Beach in Byron Bay paddling across the Bay towards Cape Byron. At Wategos Beach , situated just under the historic Cape Byron Lighthouse there is a residential pod of Pacific Bottle-nose Dolphins. We enter their habitat and usually have the privilege of seeing these beautiful marine mammals free from captivity in their own environment.
Go Sea Kayak Byron Bay is owned and operated by long term local surf lifesaver and World Title Surf Ski Medallist Kurt Tutt. Our staff are all trained Surf Lifesavers and will take the best of care of you.

I had an amazing time. Our group were incredibly lucky and saw lots of dolphins on the trip without having to paddle too far out. The team were very insightful and provided lots of information about the wildlife. The kayaking was fun too.

The most amazing kayak trip. Our original kayak tour was cancelled due to very high waves so a new tour way arranged for the next day at sunrise and it was the best start to all of our days. We saw loads of dolphins! The guides were great, especially Luke who was the main guide and gave lots of information on the wildlife and Byron Bay in general. He also had a great sense of humour and made the trip a really enjoyable one!

We had a fabulous afternoon kayaking and snorkelling with Go Sea Kayaking. Douglas and the team were brilliant at helping everyone through the wave break on the way out to sea and on the way back in to shore. Douglas clearly explained how to kayak and what to do in the event the kayak capsized. I was a bit nervous about kayaking on the open sea however the experience felt quite safe. If you were on your own or anxious, you could kayak with Douglas or another member of the team (they were all really nice). We were very lucky to see three pods of dolphins which was amazing! Douglas and the team were very considerate about us not getting too close to the dolphins and letting them come to us. There was a strong emphasis on respecting and appreciating nature. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this tour.

The trip was great, we were so lucky to have ideal weather! We saw mum and baby dolphins, a sea turtle and other fish! Being out on the water was amazing and we had the guides with us at all times, showing us where to go and to help if needed. Also had photographs taken if wanted. We were allowed to get out for a swim which was nice, we seen lots of nice areas and it was well worth the trip, would definitely recommend! Thanks again!

The surf seemed quite high to us and it was quite a challenge to paddle out through it but the guides were great at helping us and instilling us with confidence. They were very knowledgeable about the bay and its wildlife. Only saw one dolphin 🐬 and a glimpse of a turtle but they marked it as a no show day anyway and so we have the offer of a free additional trip. Very fair.

Appalling customer service. I booked through Red Balloon with a voucher given as a gift & never received confirmation of my booking. Following Red Balloon's process I emailed the Kayak company directly & after still no response & the booking time approaching I contacted them again by phone. The person who answered was defensive & stated he was too busy to get through all his emails or contact any bookings, & also complained about the entire association with Red Balloon. I was made to feel like I was being attacked for simply asking for a confirmation. My lovely gift has turned very Sour & I'll be contacting Red Balloon with a complaint.

Absolutely amazing experience travelling the east coast at the moment and this was definitely my favourite part so far really enjoyed my time instructors made the experience even better they are so so friendly and helping I would definitely recommend

We had the best time ever on this trip. Saw lots of dolphins and was in the company of a great team! They were very reassuring for those who were a bit nervous had great banter and were overall top guys! They had a lot of respect for the ocean and the dolphins which resulted in us seeing so many dolphins up close!

Amazing morning taking part in the sunrise dolphin kayak tour. We saw so many dolphins up close and the guides were very helpful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Byron Bay! Best thing we done during our time here :)
