Bernard is the best! I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and he tailored the day as we went based on my interests, from the big stuff (the Redeemer), little tucked away eats (like lunch on the rocks at the harbor at Praia do Forte) and street art. Bernard is also full of really interesting stories about Rio and the significance of all the sites we visited. More than anything else though, Bernard is such a nice and friendly guy, and so curious about other people, that it felt like I was just hanging out with a friend getting to see the city he loves through his eyes. Don't pass up the chance to tour with Bernard.

Bernard has had 10 years experience guiding tourists in Rio. He really knows his city. Weather meant we needed a flexible schedule and that was no problem. I really liked the small private tour because of that and because it meant we could cover more ground. I especially liked his taking us to cool places: Confeitaria Colombo and the Potteresque Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading. Thank you Bernard.

Bernard was friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. A great tour guide that I highly recommend.
I was really worried about security and getting around but he made our time in Rio a pleasure. We even booked him again a second day for him to take us to all the places he thought we should see. I just left it up to him. I would book his services again in a flash.

Bernard is an absolute professional. I had an incredible day with him seeing all the main sights but more importantly seeing the sights that only locals know. His knowledge about all things Rio is incredible and he has a great understanding of how to adapt the day to the style of the tourist. He did a great job of making the day fun and educational. I highly recommend his tour!

We spent two days with Bernard sharing the wonderful sights of Rio.
Bernard was really nice, great local knowledge and we loved that he just gaged how we were feeling and what we wanted to see do.

With 2 kids, it was important for us to take a private tour so that we could move at our own pace. Uncle Bernard (as our kids ended up calling him) was perfect at giving us options throughout the day. We even took pictures with the Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr as we ran into him at one of the destinations. Uncle Bernard was the perfect guide for our first full day in Rio. We highly recommended him!

We spent 3 amazing days with Bernard visiting the best that Rio had to offer. He was very punctual as well as knowledgeable, nothing was too much bother, and he made our trip to Rio very special indeed. He has a great manner and is alot of fun to be with. If you love food let Bernard chose where you eat we shared some great food from two of his favourite eateries. I would recommend Bernard to anyone who wants to see RIo.

Bernard met us on time as we disembarked the cruise ship. He maintained a wonderful pace as we explored all of the sites we had intended to visit. His English was perfect, and his demeanor was wonderful. When asked to recommend a place for lunch he provided a number of options for us to consider. We settled on a delightful place in his own neighborhood. At our invitation, Bernard joined us for lunch and helped us navigate the menu. He volunteered many times to take pictures of my wife and me which help us recall fondly our visit to Rio. He was, in all respects, a professional, and my wife and I feel fortunate to have had him as our guide. I most highly recommend him. Frankly, the entire day was fantastic owing to the way Bernard helped us and informed us as we made our way about Rio. Just perfect!
