Your guide accompanies you to the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute at Te Puia for an immersive cultural experience, then takes you to Waitomo Caves after a cafe lunch. Driver was a half hour late at pickup. Could have had or bought breakfast instead of waiting. We stopped at some point just long enough to go to the restroom and order coffee/breakfast. Seated by the door of the van, I had no place to put either coffee or breakfast except my hand and lap. Very uncomfortable. Though the driver/tour guide was nice, we were always looking for him. After lunch, I moved to another van. This started the most uncomfortable ride ever with a passenger endlessly coughing. A pregnant passenger finally spoke up about feeling uncomfortable. She was a medical professional and had strong opinions about what kind of cough it was. The driver/tour guide talked to the coughing passenger who said she wasn't contagious. There was a bit of a confrontation that forced us all to declare whether we were or were not comfortable riding in the van with her. That was really uncomfortable. All of us asked if the company could send another van. The answer was no because we were too far. The coughing passenger offered to distribute masks. I felt bad for her but I couldn't wait to get out of the van. This tour is hours and hours of driving. If you can afford to pay more for a more comfortable or luxurious ride, do it. I don't recommend this tour based on the company's response, especially after every driver's scripted line about ensuring our safety and comfort.

The itinerary was varied enough to make the long journey worth while. So fortunate we had good weather. The Māori guides were informative and sincere. Will definitely return to the area when in NZ for longer.

Excellent service from visitor and the tour agent team FlexiTourNZ . Amazing view of the geysers and glow worm cave. Very impressive and super delicious buffet lunch. If time allows, prefer two day tours next time.

Cave and the glacier.

It was a long trip full day, loved the Rotorua wasn’t able to spend more time in there.

Great day with on going explanation of what we were passing on our way. It was a long day however we had coffee/washroom breaks which was great and the bus was comfortable. The main attractions were outstanding and we did get to see the Kiwi birds which was a treat. Lunch was amazing and our time in each place was just right!

Waitomo Cave experience. I found the glow worms fascinating and entertaining. The tour guide explained clearly and skillfully pulled the boat and maneuvered left and right along the way. It’ the first time in my life to know that glow worms exist and are interesting insects to behold. I am 70 years young and I found it so interesting. They were like twinkle twinkle little stars above the sky. They are also like the lights of a city as the airplane flies lower to land at a city. Beautiful!
