This one-of-a-kind tour is personally led by Kimber Fountain, author of three books on Galveston history including Galveston's Red Light District: A History of The Line, offering you a firsthand experience of her decade of research into the topic. A professional speaker and riveting storyteller, Kimber brings to life the tales, both tragic and triumphant, of the women who wanted to make their own rules and the city that wanted to let them. The tour also highlights the fascinating subject of Kimber's third book, the Maceo family and the era known as The Free State of Galveston. See former brothels that still exist in Galveston, accompanied by dozens of historic photos that offer visitors an insight into this history that only Kimber can give.

Kimber is a gem. Full of wonderful tidbits in addition to an amazing depth of knowledge of the area. Two in our group had mobility issues but no problem for Kimber. She jumped in our car and gave us the best tour we've had in a long while.
We asked for a Galveston historic tour as opposed to just the Red Light District and Kimber really delivered. I grew up in Southeast Texas and visited often when I was young. I thought I knew quite a bit but we all learned things we never knew. Definitely recommend Kimber!

This was an excellent, enjoyable tour conducted by Kimber Fountain. Kimber is an outstanding tour guide who has great subject knowledge which she shares with joy and enthusiasm. A fascinating tour that brought back memories of high school boys making trips to the Galveston Red Light District in the late 1950s. At that time I didn't realize that I and my friends were visiting an area that would become part of Galveston's history.
