We will come to pick you up at the hotel/cruise terminal, meet your Chauffeur and drive to Pompeii first for a two hours walking tour with our expert licensed guide, you will begin your exploration of the mystery of the two towns were time was "frozen" and where you can see all the aspects of the roman everyday life.
After lunch time you will drive 30 more minutes until the Ancient Herculaneum.This elite Roman resort was devastated by the same volcanic eruption that buried Pompeii in 79 AD and covered by a torrent of mud, which protected the ruins from atmospheric agents and illegal excavators. The guided walking tour of Herculaneum will take about two hours, to see the Public Baths, the house of the Deers, the Augustales temple, the house of Neptun and Anphitrite, the area of the Marina, where in 1980 archeologist found over 250 skeletons of fugitives.
After some free time for shopping return back to the meeting point.

Our trip to Pompei and Herculaneum was great and it made all the difference in the heat to have a comfortable air conditioned minibus taking us everywhere.
Our guide, Theresa, was very knowledgable and charming and went out of her way to explain everything and answer our questions.
We all thought that it was money well spent and it made our trip very relaxing and enjoyable.

We had the most outstanding private tour of Pompeii with the wonderful Ornella!! Her knowledge and expertise is second to none. This, along with her friendly and engaging personality, was truly a highlight of our trip to Italy. I highly recommend & you will be very fortunate to have Ornella as your guide transporting you back to the days of Pompeii!! Everything was seamless, from our train station pick up to our drop off to meet Ornella at the gates of Pompeii. Memorable and fantastic. Molte Grazie!!

Sabina was very knowledgeable about Pompeii and Herculaneum. Very interesting and good to be with our own private group of four.
And Ciro our driver was very nice and recommended a restaurant for lunch in Pompeii that turned out to be one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in three weeks in Italy.

Our group of adult learners was lucky to have Ornella to guide us in Pompeii for three hours. She is wonderful! We learned a lot and had fun. We could listen to her all day. This is our second tour with Ornella and we hope to have her again with our next group to Pompeii.
