The tour was a most wonderful experience. I am more knowledgeable about the roots of the South African freedom movement. Truly a fortunate experience for my entire group. The tour guide was there for us every step of the way. The walk to freedom speaker/ professor was phenomenal!!!!!

A wonderful experience! We had a former prisoner named Sparks, give us a tour of the prison. He gave a very good explanation about the prison and his experience there. The only issue would be that there was a delay in communication regarding the pickup up time the night before the tour.

Mind blowing experience! While the stories and reality will hit you hard, it is a very memorable experience. The tour itself is given by former Prisoners of the prison. You will learn a lot but it can hit you heavy. The experience itself is pretty crazy. You get to see the prison cells, the yard, kitchen, bathrooms, etc. You get to see it all. You definitely will feel immersed into the experience and learn a lot about what is was like for prisoners on this island. Lots of informative history here.

Callixte created a wonderful day and made sure we had a through South African experience.
First he brought us to the Robben Island tour.
After the tour we asked for a tour to see the non-tourist parts or 'real' South Africa where tje locals are. He drove us around to several places, we saw and learned so much.
At the end of the day we went to a local market. Callixte, or 'uncle' I should say :-) made sure that we had the best deals everytime!!
