Our hot air balloon flight and visit to the Teotihuacán archaeological site was by far the highlight of our trip to Mexico City. Flying Pictures was very professional throughout the entire experience. Our driver, Marco Antonio, was friendly and picked us up right on time; our hot air balloon pilot, Cristian, was knowledgeable and engaging; and our archaeological site guide, Montserrat, was a great teacher. As a bonus, breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend Flying Pictures for the hot air balloon experience!

Everything was excellent, from the beginning. The driver Marco picked us up at our accommodation, very punctual. Then we picked up other tourists and headed to the take-off area.
There we registered in a very quick, simple and cordial process.
And almost immediately we were called to board our balloon. We had to fly with Sergio, a pilot who demonstrated a lot of solvency and experience.
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! A smooth flight, gliding through the air, as we approached the pyramids. An incredible view of the rest of the balloons rising at dawn...unforgettable!! Upon reaching the pyramids, Sergio made us fly over the Pyramid of the Sun, at a height that seemed like we could touch it...exciting. It was almost an hour of pure emotions.
Then we went to breakfast, which was on par with the flight. Then the visit to Pirámides, from land, almost 2 hours, and then return to CDMX. A round of applause for Marco, who found himself in a blocked city and had to look for the best place to get off.
In short, if you are reading this looking for information about these tours, don't hesitate...you are with the right company. Thanks for everything Flying Pictures!!!

We barely noticed the takeoff and landing (right into the trailer) on this amazing a professional trip to see the pyramids from above. The crew at Flying Pictures was very accommodating and efficient, the pilot was a pro, and the food afterwards was first class. Barely any wind and magical views of the pyramids and landscape at sunrise with dozens of balloons floating past! My only suggestion is to improve the signage for arrival, especially the second sign for Flying Pictures which was behind a tree.

This was a bucket list experience that was amazingly perfect thanks to the staff and crew at Flying Pictures. Our skillful captain, Joel, was able to get us incredible views of the Aztec ruins and the surrounding landscape.
My girlfriend, who’s afraid of flying, was nervous at first but once we took off it was all smiles and amazement thereafter. The pre-flight shot of Mezcal with coffee did the trick. ;)
Definitely consider the picture package. The drone footage is amazing. I’d recommend getting the USB dongle as we had issues with the SD card.

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! We could not rate this company highly enough. So well organised, we arrived early as we got an Uber from Mexico City and they were happy to get the coffee and the heaters on for us to make us comfortable whilst we waited.
From start to finish, we could not fault the experience. We were first up in the sky and not the first down. The driver was extremely experienced and professional. Giving us the opportunity to take lots of photos and steering the balloon around (safely and slowly) so everyone got a 360 view.
Breakfast buffet was way more than expected. 10/10 with options, coffee. We did not pay to get transport but asked if there was space on the way back for us two to join. They accommodated this for 400 pesos (totally reasonable) Which was very very kind of them.
Thank you so much Flying Pictures team for a truly memorable and special experience :)

We booked a hot air balloon ride and tour of the ruins with Flying Picture. Excellent experience. The transport arrived a little late to pick us up at dawn but three of us contacted us promptly via WhatsApp and there were no problems. The hot air balloon ride took place in complete safety (we did it with our 4 and 9 year old girls). I highly recommend to everyone.

the reception when we arrived was warm and friendly. immediately they offered hot coffee and tea which was nice and there was a heater for the guests to warm up in the cold morning. just note that we came by ourselves (did not take up the car transfer package) and in the early hours when it was dark, it was tricky to find the turn into the location. eyes open big for some signage at the side of the road.
we were early, we just had to wait for the balloons to be setup and we were having fun having a “photoshoot” which of course they will give you an option to buy later. i could see the staffs working really professionally to get the balloons up. so the way it works it that the basket is segregated into 5 sections, 1 for the pilot in the middle and 4 corners for up to 4 different groups. me and my wife had 1 corner to ourselves. the other 3 corners were another 2 couples and a group of 3. nicely spread out and relatively good amount of space.
what i am really impressed about is definitely the skills of the pilot. he totally nailed all the beautiful views we were supposed to see. helped of course by the good weather we had. navigating high and low with ease and getting close to the pyramids. turning the balloon around for everyone to have an opportunity to have the all the views. the sunrise view is unreal!!
nice champagne toast at the end, of cos do not expect high end champagne but it was fun. and they present u the certificate at this time. it’s cool.
They sell you go pro photos(fixed onto the balloon and taken every 15 or 20seconds). DLSR photos which they take before and after the flight. and drone photos/videos. i wouldn’t say its cheap but for the amount of photos and the effort(3 types of photography) i’d say its worth it in a way. we did buy it because we saw a good number of photos which was well taken and we liked it a lot.
the breakfast later at la canasta was super delicious. i didn’t expect such a large variety of food for the breakfast. enjoyed it totally!
