Brendan was our fun and wise guide for the tour! What a fantastic experience it was! We couldn’t get enough of all the interesting stories and surprising details about the city. The different maps Brendan brought to the tour created a full and bright visual support to all the memorable spots and historical sights we visited! A very personalized, friendly, joyful and exciting walk, made us forget all about our long flights and jet lags! Thank you, Brendan MacFantastic :)

We landed at the airport, drove to our hotel, then taxied to meet up with Garvan. The next four plus hours were spent touring local historical spots, pubs, and listening to Garvan spin humorous and accurate yarns of Ireland’s history. This was money and time well spent. I’d encourage all to experience it, even if you don’t drink.

We spent a day in Dublin with Mark. He was on time and spent a relaxing day with us seeing all the sights in Dublin along with a few stops at his favorite pubs. Great way to spend a day in Dublin on a private tour…

Our tour with Carl of Dublin was informative, fascinating, personalized to our questions, and fun! I highly recommend. My husband and I (we're American) enjoyed finding out the history from a native's perspective. Carl obviously loves what he does and was passionate about the history of his country. We especially enjoyed finding out how to properly drink Guinness! No wonder we didn't like it before. The combination of beer and history was the perfect blend. After a couple hours on our feet exploring the city, we'd rest our feet at a pub where we tried Irish whiskey and then again Guinness. Our time on Dublin would have been wasted without this tour. Thanks Carl!

Excellent tour with John. My husband and I learned so much from John. We had fun walking around Dublin, checking out a couple of pubs, and learning about Dublin history, John was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. Private tours are the way to go. The tours can be customized towards your interests.

This is our second tour with Dublin Tour Guide- Private Tours. They are a very trustworthy company. We paid for this tour back in December 2020! We originally planned to do the tour in July 2020. Of course everything was cancelled. Dublin Tour Guide- Private Tours honored the amount we paid 2 years ago and rescheduled us for when we were able to come. Another company we had booked back in 2020 would not honor the original contract, we were just out quite a bit of money. Not only are they a trustworthy company, they always have excellent guides. We will definitely suggest them to everyone we know going to Dublin. And, if we are back, we'd love to book with them again. You can feel safe booking with this company.

I booked this tour for my group of eight, because four of us had never been to Dublin, and three others had been but hadn't explored any of the sights. Communication with the tour operator before the event was very good, and we knew exactly where and when to meet our guide, Mary, who turned out to be absolutely amazing. She started off by taking us to Dublin Castle and educating us about its history, which was very interesting and of course something we knew nothing about. Things rolled on from there, with Mary displaying her knowledge of and passion for Dublin at every stop we made. She was funny, erudite, and personable, and really paid attention to the things we were saying and questions we were asking. At just the right time, we stopped for drinks at an amazing historic pub, where we lost two of our group to its charms. From there, she tailored what we saw even more, and steered us in the direction of a fabulous lunch, so we could see for ourselves the evolution of pubs and pub fare from early to recent. After losing four more to the lure of shopping, Mary continued on with us leftovers, and we had a ball just walking and talking about everything she pointed out. She thoughtfully got us connected with a friend in Killarney, who in turn got us connected with a local cab company, who helped get our circus from Killarney to Dublin by 9:00 am the day we flew home. We all had a wonderful time with Mary, and even my teenagers said they learned something. I can't recommend her enough as a guide, and I'm so, so glad we got the chance to meet her and spend a day seeing a beautiful place through her eyes.
