We had a blast on this tour. The ship, food excursions were very good. Our hot air balloon was cancelled, but it was substituted with Nubian village trip instead. Special thanks to our guide, Zakarya. He is very knowledgeable about places we visited and helped a lot with any questions or request we had on this trip as a whole. Wished we had him as a guide for all other trips beside Nile cruise.

We were nervous when we arrived and there was a mix up with our pick up from the airport but from there the trip was AMAZING. Food was great, people working on the boat were lovely. The boat we were on TU YA was a little dated but the room had a large window, which is nice. The AC was clutch! You do have to buy beverages, even water which sucks, we would buy water when off the boat and bring it back because it is much cheaper. Since it was off season it was not super busy which was kind of nice.

Everyday was jam packed with touring. I recommend going to bed early, drink a lot of water and electrolytes, dress for the heat aka. cover up. We went in June and it was 37-55 degrees everyday, the days are super long.

Osama was our guide for four days and he was amazing. He was super knowledgeable and so funny. Spoke English well. We learned a ton and he really cared about everyone on the tour. He went above and beyond like stopping for chips, water and helped us get a SIM card. Gave us a lot of advice so we can feel safe during our travels across Egypt.

I do recommend. Beautiful places indeed. The visit with the guide Walid gets much more interesting. He knows what he is doing, and also he was very helpful with us.

The cruise was a first and I wasn’t expecting an actual cruise ship but it was.
Highlights:
1. Ghada the brilliant tour guide - she knew the history, dates, information about the pharaohs/kings/timelines so it really was fascinating so if you can, request her specifically.
2. The buffet meals - vast variety to suit everyone but it’s not local cuisine but more European based foods
3. The sun deck with lots of seats and sun loungers either in the sun or shade
4. The sailing along the Nile - stunning with changing landscapes, wildlife and colourful characters in rowing boats

Lowlights:
1. Drinks not included - not even water so take plenty with you as the cost on board is sky high
2. A couple of very early starts (4-4.30am) so you miss the breakfast buffet for most of the trip
3. Factor in the amount to tip - it’s not a percentage but sometimes a rate that is expected but you can’t get away from it
4. The begging and being hassled to buy things especially if you are Caucasian

Saying that, the cruise is a must to enjoy the Nile and experience Egypt even if there are some lowlights.
