Tour: Amman City Tour

We paid for an English-speaking guide, but the tour operator didn't provide one. The driver (who was very nice but didn't speak much English, despite the fact that the tour description promised an English-speaking driver) took a photo of our Viator ticket that clearly states "English Guide" and sent it to the tour operator, but they ignored that and continued to insist that we hadn't booked a guide. We finally got so fed up that we got out of the car.

This tour was fantastic - I got to see all the things I was hoping to plus more!! And the driver, Omar (the tall one!) was more like a guide than a driver. He was so informative and enhanced my experience in Amman - thank you!

Omar was a friendly and patient driver. We went at our own pace. It was great to see the main highlights of Amman and get a true feeling for the place.

Although the driver was a nice person, he really did not speak English well enough to explain anything. So, if you want to be escorted to a few places and have someone take photos of you for you, then ok...If you want to learn about what you're seeing, have some overview of Amman and its history, then this is not the "tour" for you.

Great introduction to Amman City!
We had our driver. Omar who was kind and courteous, take us around. He even treated to kunafeh, a sweet treat from Hanibah sweets! So good! You get to see the Roman Theater, Citadel, and the King Abdullah mosque. On the way back, we were supposed to be done, but since we asked about local food, we stopped for lunch at Jabri for some local food. Thank you Omar!!
