Paola was an incredible tour guide. My wife and I took a private tour to the wineries in Montalcino. Paola knew all the owners of the wineries and we were treated like royalty. First class experience with Paola all the way!!!!!!

My husband and I booked this tour for our honeymoon after an extensive wine tasting tour search. We really wanted to check out the region of Montalcino and loved that Enotropea offered an all day trip that not only included private (comfortable) transport from Florence, but also included visiting 3 different wineries, when most tours we researched only visited 2. Angel was our guide and we had the best time with him. He is so knowledgeable and had so many stories to share. He was very professional and we instantly felt comfortable with him. One of the wineries we were scheduled to visit couldn't take us because of a family emergency - Angel was calm and made some calls to make sure we still had a full day of wine tasting. We visited wineries of varying size and it was really interesting to see the differences. Overall I would absolutely book this tour again and highly recommend Angel as your guide.

Our tour guide Paola was a joy! We thoroughly enjoyed getting into the countryside and into some lovely wines. Our first winery, Franco Pacenti was in a nice country setting and the wines were sublime. After a brief tour and a generous tasting, we both shipped a case of wine back to Texas. Our next stop was Villa Cipressia and it was a gem! Idyllic property and family operated and built. Their wines were impressive and once again, after generous pours, we both shipped cases back home. We were also treated to an amazing lunch cooked by Mama (the actual matriarch). The food was a highlight of our entire trip ... so memorable. Paola took us to the splendid hilltop town of Montalcino. This is the heart of the production of Brunello di Montalcino and it is a destination unto itself with a 670 year old fortress and a labyrinth of ancient streets to meander through ... so we did. Our final stop was Col di Lamo. I want to like this winery. It is owned and operated by a mother/daughter team. But the wine just didn't cut it. Four of us agreed that we couldn't drink any of the 3 wines we were served. That was disappointing but the tasting room itself and the setting were poorly conceived. That said, this day couldn't be spoiled by this one bad apple. I definitely recommend the tour and maybe Trip Advisor will trade this last winery for a different one.

Well worth the money spent for a private tour. Angel our guide and the staff at the 3 vineyards we visited were very knowledgeable and truly pleasant. We had an incredible day with Angel who is also a a sommelier and a walking encyclopedia.

We loved spending time with and getting know Fabian. His knowledge of wine, Italy in general and Florence in particular was amazing. The wineries were spectacular but having Fabian as our guide really made the day something to remember!

Francesco our driver was excellent, providing insight and levity for the entire day. He really took the time to explain the different area’s nuances and it was extremely comfortable with his companionship. My wife Lucia was hesitant but was at ease with him within minutes. Each winery provided an excellent tour and wine tasting session. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning about Tuscany and the Brunello brand.

Our guide was wonderful, kind and very informative. The vehicle was very comfortable and the drive from Florence through Tuscany was beautiful. We were picked up directly from our hotel which was very helpful. We so appreciated visiting the smaller family owned Tuscan wineries where we learned to appreciative the Brunello making process and had lots of tastings. We were able to order a few cases and they were happy to ship the. Back to the US for us. Should receive in 2-3 weeks. We look forward to tasting these beautiful wines again at home!

Our driver and guide, Angel (Angelo), was absolutely the best. The wineries, locations and scenery were fantastic. All-in-all a truly winderful day trip out of Florence! We’d do it again in a heartbeat.
